Preseason Power Rankings No. 32: Oakland Raiders

The great thing about being last is you have nowhere to go but up...

Don't get me wrong, I am not predicting a Playoff appearance or a SB but this writer is an idiot to think that the Raiders are the worst team in the NFL.

Raiders’ quarterback play will lag behind that of division rivals Denver and San Diego — and perhaps Kansas City as well.

Meh, I think the Raiders are getting back on track... didn't they have a nice draft this year? Wonder if Derek Carr will start this year...?

Is the rank warranted? Probably not.
Have the Raiders exceeded expectations at any point in the last decade? Nope.

i try to believe in the raiders having a good year, i really do. but they always make it so difficult by having a bunch of older players and a big question mark at qb every single year. much like the chiefs, normally.

Don't see them being the 32nd ranked team.. Their Defense will keep them in some games and I really see the Browns and Jags being worse than them.

They could be the worst team in the league and we would still split with them

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Raiders are far from dead-ass last. They would eviscerate the Jags, Browns and probably Titans. I could see them beating the Jets, Phins and Bucs as well.

I find it hilarious that Raider fans still believe their team could be playoff bound every single year despite having one of the worst teams in the league.

They have some talent, even if it's older talent, with the likes of guys like Justin Tuck. I think Mack will be good. But, as the QB goes, the franchise goes. If Schaub isn't the answer, and Carr gets tossed to the wolves and fails, the Raiders will be back to square one.

What? People actually arguing that the Raiders shouldn't be the worst team in the league? Fine, interchange them with the Browns if you want(I think the Jags are going to be better than the Raiders)but there is no issue with them at 32. A little close to some Raiders sympathy up top here. **** the Raiders
