So there's a little back story to the quote here |

Perhaps it could have been worded better, like, "It's not Ben's job to teach me anything....... BUUUUT, of course I'll listen to and take in any and all help and information he gives me. However his job is to lead our team and win games. Mine right now is to compete with backups and learn and grow as a player." |

We should be thankful that Alex is a stand up guy who helped Pat learn from him last year. The film room experience alone was very noticeable when in Pats first start.
A ton of that was because of Alex.

Favre made similar comments about Aaron Rodgers (albeit Rodgers was 1st round pick).
Rumors were that Favre pretty much ignored Rodgers that 1st year because he was so pissed at GB for drafting him |

I think Big Ben is an ass, but I also think he's right.
It's clear to me that the Steelers don't have a plan for life after Ben, so they spend a 4th rounders here (Jones), a 4th here (Dobbs), and now a 3rd Rounder on Rudolph. Seems pretty obvious they don't have a plan to develop a QB, they are just blowing mid round picks that you really need these days to build a roster. And lets be honest when the day comes and Big Ben is done what are they going to do? That's right probably draft one in the first round. It would be different if they, like the Packers, took someone who fell in the draft late in the first round. Like the Raven's drafting Lamar Jackson. |

Wow, Ben got completely ripped here, and totally deserved it.
https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/05/07/be...s-quarterbacks Ben on Tommy Maddox in 2005: “I owe so much of my success to his help.” Ben on Mason Rudolph in 2018: “I might just have to point to the playbook.” What a dick. Has always been a dick. And apparently likes to put his dick in women uninvited.

Big Ben is a big pussy. He's blocked the guy that wrote the article I quoted. JFC.

I can't imagine it'll be all that long before Rudolph ends up starting. Ben always seems to get dinged up and miss a game or two here and there.
