Preseason Power Rankings No. 32: Oakland Raiders

The great thing about being last is you have nowhere to go but up...

Don't get me wrong, I am not predicting a Playoff appearance or a SB but this writer is an idiot to think that the Raiders are the worst team in the NFL.

In Oakland's case they're going to have to prove something before sports writers stop throwing them in the wastebasket like a jerk-sock afterthought.

Browns will lose Gordon and they already lost Greg Little and got a risky Manziel QB. They should be 32nd IMO

I think Washington might be worse. Given that they are the same Redskins that ended last season....

Cleveland could be a dumpster fire if Manziel or whatever QB is playing for those sad sacks, doesn't pan out.

Houston and Jacksonville might be a touch worse. Maybe even Tennessee if Locker regresses or goes down again.

Those are a lot of what-ifs, and honestly I can't find any real solid reasons to push Oakland out of 32nd and justify it. Bias aside, they are probably the worst team in the league right now.

If the RG3 of 2012 returns, they'll be much better.

As much as I hate the faders-this ranking is kinda dumb. They have the D, a strong running game and a kicker that can hit from 55. They will win some games the shouldn't and lose some they should win- 6-10 most likely. I think they are in the low 20's.

Honestly, look at the brokedick roster OAK had last year and managed 4 wins. They improved a lot of positions. I mean, they had a supplemental pick and an UDFA playing the QB position. No, I don't think most sane fans believe the team is playoff bound this year. But to say they haven't improved is lame. I think the defense will look much better this year, the big question mark is the offense.
