I'm not sure why. There isn't anything wrong with my children (other than being related to me).

Hm. Interesting question. I would have no problem donating a part that would help keep someone else alive. For some reason I feel uncomfortable saying I could donate parts for science.

The purpose of the research is sometimes to help prevent or treat others with a similar disease. In my mother in laws case she died of progressive super nuclear palsy (PSP), of which little is currently known. Her brain was shipped to Denver, for biopsy, within hours of her death; everything being arranged beforehand. If this kind of research can eventually lead to a cure or better treatment of a disease then certainly it would be proper.

I believe very strongly in cremation. There are companies that will accept your donation, use the body for science, cremate the body, then either return it to you for services or perform a burial at sea. At the point of death you only need to notify them and they take care of everything from then on.

Yes. There are times that I think that it hasn't been used much, so it's pretty low mileage.

It depends on if it was gnawed on by a dog before hand. I don't see the value in that.
