Would You Welcome the Chiefs Leaving to Rid Yourself of the Hunts?

Bill Simmons' column on Daniel Snyder made me think about this again.

Over the last forty years there have been two consistent themes with the Chiefs: futility and the Hunt family.

If you were presented with the option of the Chiefs leaving for LA and getting a new franchise in Kansas City in 2018 would you take that deal, or is your loyalty to the Chiefs alone too great?

Even the uniform sucks now?

All of me thinks that if the Chiefs leave Kansas City, there is no reason to think the NFL would be in any big hurry to put another team here. How long has Los Angeles been without an NFL team? 15 years? How's that working out for them?

This is exactly what the haters should do. When they get to the point where they want their own team to leave town so they can get a new, even crappier team they need to just find another team.

There are 31 other teams, you idiots. CHOOSE ONE. There are several that have been doing things your way (drafting QBs in the 1st round repeatedly). None of them have been successful, but maybe you'll get lucky.

What advantage? They've been doing it for years with no success at all. Your way has been a bigger failure than what the Chiefs have done, and with a bunch of teams failing while doing it. Why do you guys want to replace a mediocre system with a system that just fails outright on a bunch of other teams? Are you ****ing stupid?

Thus far, that approach equals "No risk, no reward".
People for years were complaining that they needed to hire a young gun HC, so they did - Haley. That failed and they were immediately calling for an experienced HC. They got that (and have haven't even given him two full seasons) and they are back to "hire a young gun HC".

Ridiculous.

Because the majority of teams that, you know have been winning the Super Bowl and going deep in the playoffs drafted and developed their QB.
Something the Chiefs have never done.
You would rather be stuck with mediocrity than to try to do better. That is sad. Teams can always get a mediocre retread QB and make him a starter and be just mediocre.

Well, the two teams that have drafted the most linemen in the first round in the past several years are the Chiefs and Jaguars, but the fanbase is okay with this strategy... and in some fantasy world, teams that draft QBs in the first round aren't successful.

Only on CP.

This thread isn't about whether or not the Chiefs have drafted well. They haven't. The topic of this thread is whether or not fans think Kansas City would be better off if the Chiefs left town.

Any fan who thinks our NFL future would be BETTER if we lost our NFL franchise is criminally stupid.

I'm not quite yet to the point where I'd rather have no franchise than a bad franchise.
