The positives of the Royals season

Wow, what a ride. I'm as bummed as anyone about the one run loss in game 7. You know what though? This team did more for this city than a World Series could have ever done.
It cemented a community. It's what everyone was talking about.
It created brotherhood. This city was united.
It groomed another generation of baseball fans.
It brought a shut pot of revenue into KC.
It gave us all a month of incredible entertainment.
But best if all, it reconnected a community wit it's home team, the players, the coaches, and the personalities that make them human, and a part of us . We all feel like we've been with them through the grind, the ups, the downs. Dog gone it, we're all exhausted.

Rep to you Kansas City Royals. Hold your heads high. You improved your hometown. I salute you!

It was fantastic watching baseball this October. I've never had that in my life. And I'm 31. I'm not bitching. I think we'll get back to the postseason sooner rather than later.

I'm genuinely excited about the future of Royals baseball. I'm interested to start talking offseason moves and what not. You know...after an appropriate amount of time.

The greatest thing the Royals did in 2014 was take away our hope. We no longer "hope" they will be decent in the near future. We no longer "hope" this franchise turns around. We no longer "hope" baseball makes a comeback in this city...hope is dead. We now have expectations.

We expect this team to compete. We expect 2015 to end with us winning the central. We expect baseball to be relevant in KC again. Thank again Royals and everyone in the city for making this an awesome run!!!! We no longer hope Royals fans.....we expect!

Yep. Like when Permian loses in Friday Night Lights but comes back the next year and Chris Comers the shit out of people.

Royals win 100 games next season.

I guess that means in part 3 the Giants will be our good friends. We'll have them over for dinner and spar with them and what not. Then in part 4 some PED using Russian DH is gonna kill Bumgarner with a line drive to the temple. "If he dies, he dies". While Bum dies in Salvador Perez's arms. NOOOOOO!!!!! Then cue "Burning Heart" by Survivor while Perez drives around looking pissed.

I sense I've taken this too far......
