Comparing Andy to Marty is insulting to Marty.

If Marty had a kicker the caliber of Adam Vinatieri on those playoff teams he coached, he's likely mentioned in the same breath as a guy like Bill Belichick. Marty lost so many huge games because of kickers that couldn't come through.

How many of those big Patriot games, even superbowl championships came down to the leg of Vinatieri? A few poor kicks, and Belichick is then lumped in with Marty as a fantastic coach who cant win the big game.

Marty was super conservative, and seemed terrified to take any chances for fear of losing the game, but he put his teams in positions to win many of those playoff games. Marty didn't miss the kicks, or fail to just simply take a knee after making a game winning interception and fumbling it away. He didn't fumble at the goal line to set up "The Drive."

Marty utilized the strength of his Chiefs team,s which was the defense. The biggest knock on Marty that I have, and that I will never forget or forgive, was benching Rich Gannon, who was on a serious hot streak, for Elvis Grbac who had missed several games with an injury. Too late in the game he realizes he started the wrong guy, and even with such little time, Gannon still very nearly pulled the game out.

Even with such a terrible decision, it was the pre-Brady era where players simply didn't lose their job to an injury. His team was still in position to win had his kicker been able to perform his duties.

With Andy Reid, he simply mismanages his personnel on a legendary level. For a guy who used to make personnel decisions, I cant understand how he doesn't realize what each position brings to his team, and completely ignores aspects of the offense that would take tremendous pressure off of him and his team.

Its like Andy thinks that if he goes the easy route, it doesn't count. Its the hard way, or no way. Anyone can run on 3rd and short for the first down, but dammit we're better than that! Dial up a pass that they all know is coming, and throw it anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate and acknowledge the level of coaching increase over Herm, Haley, and Crennel. Reid came in and was able to stabilize the football team, and right the ship.

Until Andy stops having to overcome himself, along with the opponent on Sunday, that's all we're going to be is stable. 8-8, 9-7, etc. Not dumpster fire, but also no real postseason threat either.

The Titans thoroughly whooped our ass all over the field not sure why folks are trying to claim that as some close game they could have pulled out. The team has rebounded nicely but Reid did blow the Niner game. The coward punt on 4th and short as well as ignoring Jamaal again is criminal.

I think you have 95 confused with 97.

In 95, Bono started the playoff game, and Gannon comes in hot late and almost pulled it off, but the kicker who shall forever remain nameless missed THREE kicks that day...

In 97, Grbac finished the game by shitting the bed on the final drive. Gannon never came in the game.

But Andy Reid still sucks big fat wet glistening donkey balls.

Marty would have this team at 5-0.

On one hand his team can go toe to toe with anyone. On the other just mind boggling stupid decision making.

Tonight was the worst decision making, all game long, I've watched since Herm was here.

Just unbelievably stupid...

If he had took a knee though in either situation this board would have imploded too. Just pathetic execution as well as silly play calling. First and goal against a soft Denver D as well and they go shot gun swing pass

We lost the game when we gave up 40 yards on the first 2 plays after going ahead with 2 minutes left. Reid had nothing to do with that.
