Schefter: Chase Daniel for RG3 trade?

Five trades that should happen on ESPN. Scheffer mentioned this one:

Quote:
"Chiefs coach Andy Reid liked Griffin III coming out of the draft, Brad Childress is Kansas City's spread game analyst and the Chiefs could have a quarterback their head coach could groom to run it," Schefter proposed in this article. "Perfect. In turn, Washington would acquire another intriguing quarterback alternative, someone the Chiefs have shopped despite the fact he was impressive in the preseason."
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13...des-happen-nfl

Thoughts? I would give this a 75% chance of us acquiring RG3 at some point, most likely in the offseason.

If RGIII would be interested in redoing his deal and sitting for 2 years, maybe.

Likely, no thanks.

I wish we could get an unspoiled RGIII fresh out of Baylor.

At this point, he's probably ruined.

I'd still kick the tires on him if the price was right, though.

What front-office officials and coaches in their right mind would want RGIII?

I think there are plenty who wonder if RGIII minus the enormous dysfunction can grow the **** up.

QBs don't grow on trees. You often have to take a big risk to get your guy. I don't want him in KC. But why not see if a good coaching staff can groom him on the bench.

NFL history is littered with talented first round QB's that found success elsewhere, including the Chiefs own Len Dawson.

Unlike guys like Jake Locker and Todd Marinovich and JaMarcus Russell, I think RGIII's ego is too big to give up on his career.

So, RGIII needs to go to a team who will use the legs that he does not have anymore?

Have you ever watched him fall? His legs are always tilted in some unnatural position.

Honestly, I wish him the best, but the team that takes him better have two good backup quarterbacks on their roster ready to go.

Well, yeah, would be stupid for any team to bring him in to start. Even dumber to march him out as a running QB. But as a bench option with a good coaching staff... Why not give it a shot? Don't want him in KC. But there are teams that could make the option interesting.

My Redskins buddy tells me that RG3 is damaged goods, and that his confidence is so destroyed that he doesn't believe that he'll ever be able to be a QB that can win down the stretch at this level.

Why draft a QB when you can just trade for them! The Broncos and Chiefs way.

Players don't like him at all and that makes his ability to lead an offense impossible. They can't stand him. No thanks.
