The fiance likes the salmon jerky and beef jerky from trader joes. Sometimes we buy from local farmers markets, too.

I just bagged up three pounds of flank. One AB’s recipe (minus the liquid smoke) and a teriyaki marinade. Gonna smoke tomorrow.

Key thing to remember on the price of jerky is that 10lb of raw cooks/dries out to about 4lbs or less and the price of a good beef roast has went up. I'm cautious of cheap jerky because I want to know it wasn't made from scrap.

I assume you're saying you used flank steak? What price are you paying for it? Pretty expensive here although I haven't looked at it recently because it hasn't necessarily been grilling weather.
