Thanks. It ended up being a perfect kitchen island.

I don't know why, but when I see perfectly good stuff, about to be thrown away, I grab it.
This thing is heavy as crap and workable. I love the look but have no idea what to do with it.

From what I can see it looks like a hoist. Hang it from an a-frame and use it to lift heavy stuff, like engines.

Another cool industrial item, they seem to be gaining favor and they can still be found for a reasonable price and used to decorate.

I'm interested in vintage RR lanterns. PM me if you have something you're looking to get rid of.

This is pretty similar to the kind of stuff I'm hunting down and selling.
I seem to be mostly dealing in vintage cast iron and barn pulley stuff.
I've got a couple of barn hay trolleys I'm pondering for projects.

I'm building a house this year, so I'm planning on making an industrial
chandelier with pulleys, chain, a barn trolley and some old oil lanterns
to hang over our dining table.

I'm thinking about building a couple of them to sell too.

My people kind of make fun of me now for the way I'm hunting this stuff.
When it's deer season, I see deer everywhere I drive. Fishing time, I see ponds
hidden in the brush, turkey season I see strutting toms. Now....I see old barns
junk piles, busted up houses..............treasure chests.

If anyone is a plumber or tearing down houses.....I'm looking for a pile of old cast water and gas line shutoff valves-knobs etc. Take all you can find if the price is fair.
