Will the Chiefs extend Hill after this season?

Do the Chiefs try low balling the guy? I don't think they can at this point. Veach isn't Carl, but what do you think he's worth at this point?

He's going to be a FA after 2019 season, but I can't imagine the Chiefs letting him walk or letting him enter next season without a new deal, especially if he improves from last season's 75/1200/7 stat line. And we all know his value in ST.

Given that Mahomes' success largely depends on the success of Hill, do you think the Chiefs renew his deal after this year? He's kept his nose clean off the field and he's clearly outplaying his current $600k salary. Right now the top 10 WR contracts in the NFL avg at about $15M/yr, and Sammy Watkins is one of those players. Can't imagine the Chiefs paying them both truck loads of money. Watkins alone has a $19M cap hit next yr.

They'll extend Hill before they extend Sammy, I'll say that.

I think the Chiefs are about done with Hill. I see no reason to extend him. Maybe trade him off for a 5th or something. Reid doesn't like twerkers.

After another healthy and productive season, sure.

As reliant as he is on speed, the team won't want to be holding the bag when he starts to lose a step, but extending him for a few more years should work out.

It's going to be tough to extend him while Watkins is sitting on the roster at his cap hits.

When Tyreek loses a step he'll still be top 5 fastest receivers in the NFL who runs great routes, has fantastic tracking on the ball and great hands. This isn't some streaker.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Yes, but hopefully long after Hill retires and the Chiefs win a SB.

Doubt i'll see the latter, unfortunately.

I'd go ahead and start dropping hints to my players, we're the new dynasty and if they want to be part of it they're going to have to sign team friendly deals. And if Berry and Houston want to play here next year they will have to take huge pay cuts.

Well we get $14 million by cutting Watkins on his last year in 2020.

I would keep Hill over Watkins.

I certainly hope so. I rather have given him the money we wasted on Watkins.
