Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

That depends. Right now? Geno Smith has jack shit around him.

Santonio Holmes is still hurt. Stephen Hill is looking more and more like Jon Baldwin, and their tight end is some dude named Cumberland.

Their right side of their oline is awful, just terrible. I hope for his sake, that Mark Sanchez starts this year, because they are going to get who ever is playing qb in NY, KILLED.....

Dane, you do have a point. Perhaps he could grow. After all, Randall Cunningham did. But, I was a huge Cam guy coming out of college. I didn't think he was worthy of the first round pick, but I thought the potential was there. But that scene in his press conference, after the Giants loss,

Really bothered me. I cant get this image out of my head. You show true leadership in adversity. Compare that interview, to say Colin Kaepernicks after the Seattle beat down where the 49ers lost 42-13, and you see a complete difference.

I just don't like it.

It's easy to be positive after getting your shit kicked in when you know you are on a SB contending team, not so easy when you are on a pos team that has no future.

Not worthy? He broke the rookie passing record with one decent receiver in Steve Smith. He has nearly 8,000 yards passing and 62TD's throwing and passing.

If the Panthers organization is run better under Gettleman, Newton will most certainly win playoff games and have a great shot at a championship.

He just turned 24 years old. Lighten up.

He completed 57 percent of his passes last year.

The guy has flaws in his game.

That's also why he depends on his legs so much.

I am talking about going into the draft.....Obviously looking back now he was the right pick, but after his National Championship game where he looked absolutely awful, I wasn't sure how he was going to translate as a pro passer. And they had drafted Jimmy Claussen the year before. I thought taking Aj Green, to pair with Steve Smith was the smart move at that point.

Its just an opinion. I don't really need to lighten up, I am just explaining my reasoning why I think there is serious pause to his leadership abilities....

Not his talent.

That is not an excuse. I have never seen Sam Bradford act like that, they have yet to have a winning season since he was drafted. Alex Smith never acted like that. I mentioned those two, because unlike Cam, they don't have the ability to single handedly affect their teams fortunes. Cam does, but if Cam isn't showing leadership during the tough times, people aren't going to follow you. That's just the way it works.....

The guy has exactly ONE receiver in old man Smith. His head coach is on thin ice and they fired their GM mid-season. But yeah, that's all Newton's fault.

And stop with the stats, Claynus. It's more than obvious that you've never watched him on the field.
