That was the Patriots best shot...KC rolls them in the playoffs

Belichick had 10 days to devise something that would confuse Mahomes. It worked for one half of a game. It took an early INT, returned to the Patriots 4, two easy missed TDs, another INT before half and Speaks letting Brady go...just so they could win by 3 points at home. It also took zero penalty yards.

Chiefs were without Berry, Sorenson and Houston.

Chiefs scored 31 points after half...

That was NE's best shot...it's on tape now. It wont fool Mahomes again...

KC is going to roll them in the post-season....

First off, thanks for Clay anecdote. I gather he's a veteran Chiefs fan; veterans are less prone to mindless braggadocio and spewing BS about "hot molten lava cum from volcano dicks". With those guys discussion is possible.

And I understand euphoria around Mahomes and this season. There is much to cheer for in Kansas City. I wish he's healthy so we can all see in upcoming years how his story will unravel. It could very well be Russell Wilson. Or even Steve Young. But it can be RGIII or Kaepernick again. Some fans seem to forget that it takes a couple of seasons for QBs to really PROVE they are Tier 1.

From what I read, any suggestion that calling him "NFL's Steph Curry" and "Chiefs = 2015 Warriors" is premature was met with childish animosity and ejaculation-related retort.

Chiefs=Good:
Honestly, I didn't have time to read everything here. I've read first 30-40 pages of Let's talk about the Patriots thread (I checked other threads briefly as well). From what I remember, pissing match started even before Pats fans reared their heads. Especially that hombre with Zorro avatar, are you paying him to post this crap? But I digress. Anyways, I don't deny that there weren't any fair assessments at all, I just haven't seen them. Meanwhile, you'd be hard pressed to find that level of poise on patsfans forum, even though we are regularly accused of being bunch of cocky SOB's.

Maybe I'm partial here.

When it comes to officiating, you will be pointing towards calls that went our way, but what about controversial catch rule calls in Super Bowl LII? It happened on the biggest stage of football in a close game. Or what about both Pats-Broncos matchups in 2015 (Week 12 and AFCCG), Broncos OL/DL getting away with numerous holdings? Especially Week 12 game that cost us HFA for the playoffs (officiating and muffed punt, tbh).

I don't think referees made any blatant mistakes this weekend. Certainly it wasn't a kind of game that "proves" rigging the game in favor of Patriots. I believe Pats were screwed by referees many times as well, this stuff just happens.
Get the **** outta here! Why are Pats fans so ****ing obnoxious bro? They got all these super bowl rings yet you’re STILL insecure little bitches! You’d think they wouldn’t care about what some fans of a much less successful franchise think about their team.

I hope every single one of you get AIDs and dies.

And no, I'm not saying RGIII or Kaep were stylistically similar to Pat. I said most of us believed they are the next big thing and it turned out quite the other way.

Yes, I'll be happy to watch more Mahomes, thanks for recommendation. For now I can see he's got good aim with long balls, scrambles a lot (mostly with success), throws powerful passes with unorthodox technique, sometimes gambles too much. He kept his cool after a mistake or two, good for him.

007: my comment wasn't about last game but last couple of years in general. You can deduce it from context, Her Majesty's Agent.

I dunno where I'm being obnoxious or insecure about "my team". I know who they were, I know who they are, I look at them realistically.

Your context seemed pretty clear to me when you added it on after referring specifically to this game.

But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

With everything I have seen over the years, I feel the Pats have benefited by friendly calls much too often compared to other teams.

And lets be honest, you came here for a number of reasons which summated that your feelings were hurt and that you were being insecure about your team. You didn't like that Chiefs fans overwhelmingly (in your mind) thought they would beat the Patriots by a lot, you didn't like the fact people said some hurtful things in your opinion, and you didnt like the fact that your team was being disrespected. You are being insecure, you had to come here to talk about your insecurities.

Oh come on. I was talking about the majority from the very beginning, you know that. It's clearly stated in my first post today.

007: Yes, I meant it in broader terms than last weekend. As a matter of fact, I didn't have any complaints this Sunday. Glad it's clear now.

Chiefs=Good:
I wanted to discuss the upcoming game with you, that's why I registered a week ago or so. But it took couple of days for admins to activate my account, that's why I'm posting after the game happened.
I don't have any problem with fans of other teams believing they're going to win every week. My team being disrespected isn't anything new, no hard feelings. But I was disappointed to learn that in many cases fanboyism is too strong to let a genuine discourse happen. Plus all that "I wish you all dead" doesn't exactly raise the level of discussion, don't you think?

Clay only uses the "volcano dicks" line when discussing Mahomes' sexual escapades and/or raping of other teams' secondaries, so I think you and he may actually get along.

I've read hundreds of posts here on chiefsplanet in a week prior to SNF. Most of them were just pure, unadulterated braggadocio. It was either:
- Pats will get rolled by Hunt-Hill-Kelce and they stand no chance
- Pats were destroyed Week 1 last year with Alex Smith so Mahomes will eat them alive
- this game's gonna prove Chiefs have no peers in AFC
- any voice of dissent was met with LOLZ and insults

Like, I have maybe seen 2 out of 50 KC posters willing to admit that it's gonna be close, and paying any respect to opponent's team and its fanbase.

Now I don't wanna gloat over this win because it was admittedly a close game, but all I read is:
- Patriots cheat
- Refs cheat
- this game doesn't matter
- we were injured to begin with
- we will kill you on Arrowhead

Even if some of the above were true, aren't you ashamed at all to backpedal so quickly? Are you this willing to transform an L into "moral win"? After all this trash talk?

On a sidenote, I haven't read this forum rules (if you have any, please post a link), but god, I've never seen this amount of vocal violence in a sports forum, ever. Countless posts about "raping sisters" and "your mother sucked me off", etc. I mean, I don't think even Steelernation or circa 2015 Broncos fans were this aggressive and sexual-oriented in their insults.

Is it okay in Missouri to talk like that?
I'd say the majority were either on the fence or thought the Chiefs would pull out a close, high-scoring win. I don't think there's anything to backpedal from.

Let's face it, if Mahomes doesn't drop the ball in the first half, the Chiefs score 50+ and probably win by double digits.

Yes the Pioli era did not end well in KC, sorry for that . . .

I do think that many folks and teams think that players and front office folks in NE are better than they really are as the same is largely due to the fact BB and Brady contribute to a lot of success in NE and raise all boats.

Glad to see you all have Mahomes and Coach Reid and been at the top of the AFCW for a few years now. Fun times in KC now.

We're all excited for the Chiefs like we've never been before and we don't know what to do with ourselves. And you may have beaten us on Monday, but we're wholly convinced we'll beat you next time. And if you beat us next time, we will be wholly convinced we'll beat you the time after that. THIS IS THE ANTITHESIS OF THE WHERE WE WERE AT ANY POINT IN THE LAST FOUR DECADES.

And yes, we will roll you next time, or the time after that. The reckoning is coming.
Good post. Glad to see you guys are excited about your team and future, especially given your history.

I been watching sports since the early 1970s and basically had to wait 30 years till 2001 to feel great about the Boston teams, was not really a big fan of the Celtics. So i hear yah and understand the excitement in KC. During that 30 year run we has some close finishes but not teams we felt would win a championship when the seasons started.

Trash talk is fun and understand that it comes alot once folks feel their oats, at the same time though, it is good to engage those folks who want to talk football and are not just trolls.

I do understand your points in your posts.

People are sick of this shit...and want to watch evenly officiated games...not the most marketable QB get every conceivable break. The Jaguars AFCC game was an officiating abortion...and the Pats had one penalty.

Your fans entitlement makes it even worse...acting like this hasn't been going on forever.

Brady/Belichick are generally good enough to win a lot of games....when they arent, the NFL steps in and ensures they do. I've seen it over and over again...sometimes to the point of ridiculousness.
I do not disagree with the point that the NFL is selling a product and frankly imo are just as concerned with ratings as the sport itself and can tend to lean things in a given direction to achieve a given result.

With that said fan bases will always have a bias toward their team not getting the calls and/or the good teams get the calls.

Sure we have gotten our share of calls but they have also gone against us. At the same time though BB makes sure our team is disciplined and we either do not take or cut/bench players that make mistake or penalties. This is why more often than not we have less penalties.

Maybe after 9/11 the NFL was happy the Pats would win the SB and perhaps let us get away with being rough in the SB, but at the same time 05-07 there were a handful of games ('05 Div game Den.,'06 AFCCG and '07 reg. season colts) when it seemed that the NFL was trying to get NE out of Manning way. Which frankly kind of happened again in our opinion in the regular season game in Denver '15 preventing us from locking of HFA in early December. We ended up going to Denver and lost by 2 points, maybe that is different if we play in Foxboro.

Yes there were a few catches last year that could of gone either way, but there were two calls in the SB on Phila TDs that could have too, so it kind of balances out in the end.

Yes the Jags had a few calls in the AFCCG last season, but hey do not ride our WR out of bounds without looking back and you will not get a flag.

I fully understand your point as I have had the same concerns when playing the Yankees or a team play Duke basketball, it always seems the good teams get the calls. Which can be true to a point, but that the same time the better teams will play more disciplined.
