And no, I'm not saying RGIII or Kaep were stylistically similar to Pat. I said most of us believed they are the next big thing and it turned out quite the other way. Yes, I'll be happy to watch more Mahomes, thanks for recommendation. For now I can see he's got good aim with long balls, scrambles a lot (mostly with success), throws powerful passes with unorthodox technique, sometimes gambles too much. He kept his cool after a mistake or two, good for him. 007: my comment wasn't about last game but last couple of years in general. You can deduce it from context, Her Majesty's Agent. I dunno where I'm being obnoxious or insecure about "my team". I know who they were, I know who they are, I look at them realistically. |

Yes, you were wrong when you said everyone expected us to destroy the Patriots. If you thought those two were going to be long term stars then that's on you. |

Your context seemed pretty clear to me when you added it on after referring specifically to this game. Quote:
With everything I have seen over the years, I feel the Pats have benefited by friendly calls much too often compared to other teams.

And lets be honest, you came here for a number of reasons which summated that your feelings were hurt and that you were being insecure about your team. You didn't like that Chiefs fans overwhelmingly (in your mind) thought they would beat the Patriots by a lot, you didn't like the fact people said some hurtful things in your opinion, and you didnt like the fact that your team was being disrespected. You are being insecure, you had to come here to talk about your insecurities.

007: Yes, I meant it in broader terms than last weekend. As a matter of fact, I didn't have any complaints this Sunday. Glad it's clear now. Chiefs=Good: I wanted to discuss the upcoming game with you, that's why I registered a week ago or so. But it took couple of days for admins to activate my account, that's why I'm posting after the game happened. I don't have any problem with fans of other teams believing they're going to win every week. My team being disrespected isn't anything new, no hard feelings. But I was disappointed to learn that in many cases fanboyism is too strong to let a genuine discourse happen. Plus all that "I wish you all dead" doesn't exactly raise the level of discussion, don't you think? |

Clay only uses the "volcano dicks" line when discussing Mahomes' sexual escapades and/or raping of other teams' secondaries, so I think you and he may actually get along.

Let's face it, if Mahomes doesn't drop the ball in the first half, the Chiefs score 50+ and probably win by double digits. |

Yes the Pioli era did not end well in KC, sorry for that . . .
I do think that many folks and teams think that players and front office folks in NE are better than they really are as the same is largely due to the fact BB and Brady contribute to a lot of success in NE and raise all boats. Glad to see you all have Mahomes and Coach Reid and been at the top of the AFCW for a few years now. Fun times in KC now. |

I been watching sports since the early 1970s and basically had to wait 30 years till 2001 to feel great about the Boston teams, was not really a big fan of the Celtics. So i hear yah and understand the excitement in KC. During that 30 year run we has some close finishes but not teams we felt would win a championship when the seasons started. Trash talk is fun and understand that it comes alot once folks feel their oats, at the same time though, it is good to engage those folks who want to talk football and are not just trolls. I do understand your points in your posts. |

With that said fan bases will always have a bias toward their team not getting the calls and/or the good teams get the calls. Sure we have gotten our share of calls but they have also gone against us. At the same time though BB makes sure our team is disciplined and we either do not take or cut/bench players that make mistake or penalties. This is why more often than not we have less penalties. Maybe after 9/11 the NFL was happy the Pats would win the SB and perhaps let us get away with being rough in the SB, but at the same time 05-07 there were a handful of games ('05 Div game Den.,'06 AFCCG and '07 reg. season colts) when it seemed that the NFL was trying to get NE out of Manning way. Which frankly kind of happened again in our opinion in the regular season game in Denver '15 preventing us from locking of HFA in early December. We ended up going to Denver and lost by 2 points, maybe that is different if we play in Foxboro. Yes there were a few catches last year that could of gone either way, but there were two calls in the SB on Phila TDs that could have too, so it kind of balances out in the end. Yes the Jags had a few calls in the AFCCG last season, but hey do not ride our WR out of bounds without looking back and you will not get a flag. I fully understand your point as I have had the same concerns when playing the Yankees or a team play Duke basketball, it always seems the good teams get the calls. Which can be true to a point, but that the same time the better teams will play more disciplined. |
