Belichick had 10 days to devise something that would confuse Mahomes. It worked for one half of a game. It took an early INT, returned to the Patriots 4, two easy missed TDs, another INT before half and Speaks letting Brady go...just so they could win by 3 points at home. It also took zero penalty yards.

Chiefs were without Berry, Sorenson and Houston.

Chiefs scored 31 points after half...

That was NE's best shot...it's on tape now. It wont fool Mahomes again...

That's something I just don't get.

I've read hundreds of posts here on chiefsplanet in a week prior to SNF. Most of them were just pure, unadulterated braggadocio. It was either:
- Pats will get rolled by Hunt-Hill-Kelce and they stand no chance
- Pats were destroyed Week 1 last year with Alex Smith so Mahomes will eat them alive
- this game's gonna prove Chiefs have no peers in AFC
- any voice of dissent was met with LOLZ and insults

Like, I have maybe seen 2 out of 50 KC posters willing to admit that it's gonna be close, and paying any respect to opponent's team and its fanbase.

Now I don't wanna gloat over this win because it was admittedly a close game, but all I read is:
- Patriots cheat
- Refs cheat
- this game doesn't matter
- we were injured to begin with
- we will kill you on Arrowhead

Even if some of the above were true, aren't you ashamed at all to backpedal so quickly? Are you this willing to transform an L into "moral win"? After all this trash talk?

On a sidenote, I haven't read this forum rules (if you have any, please post a link), but god, I've never seen this amount of vocal violence in a sports forum, ever. Countless posts about "raping sisters" and "your mother sucked me off", etc. I mean, I don't think even Steelernation or circa 2015 Broncos fans were this aggressive and sexual-oriented in their insults.

Is it okay in Missouri to talk like that?

We lose to anyone else and you maybe get 2-3 posters tops. you lose to the Pats and the vitriol and the crying that you get from a stream of posters is just unfathomable. I didn't claim 100% said that, please reread my post. But I claim most of it was "Chiefs >>> Cheatriots" rather than any semblance of rational analysis. That's what I expect from football forums, to get a better understanding of rival team and their capabilities. Not much insight last week, here.

So, you're new here. You have to give Chiefs fans a bit of a break. We've perpetually been a red-headed stepchild in this league, and in the last 6 weeks, we've been thrust into golden child status thanks to our lord and savior Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs fans have been despondent and miserable for years and have only now become delirious with joy and optimism. It's only natural that there are going to be some swings as we find our equilibrium.

Consider this: the most prolific poster on CP is a guy named Clay. When the Chiefs played the Patriots in the playoffs a few years ago, he infiltrated the Patriots board to share stats about how pathetic Alex Smith was against teams that actually score 20+ points to demonstrate how you were going to maul us. I would offer him tickets to playoff games that he would decline without hesitation because he despised the essence of the team. Fast forward a few years and Clay has infiltrated your board again to talk friendly smack about the changing of the guard and he's now the biggest homer here. He literally doesn't know what to do with himself and his total 180 is frankly scaring some people here.

We're all excited for the Chiefs like we've never been before and we don't know what to do with ourselves. And you may have beaten us on Monday, but we're wholly convinced we'll beat you next time. And if you beat us next time, we will be wholly convinced we'll beat you the time after that. THIS IS THE ANTITHESIS OF THE WHERE WE WERE AT ANY POINT IN THE LAST FOUR DECADES.

As for the rape jokes/taunts, this is a message board - it's harmless. Your fans, on the other hand, **in person** at Foxborough are some of the most classless I've encountered (outside of Oakland of course). So best not to throw stones on that one.

And yes, we will roll you next time, or the time after that. The reckoning is coming.

Go look at the Pats vs Chiefs winner poll. Plenty of people thought it would be close - you are being disingenuous. Not to mention hundreds of posts in the lets talk about the patriots thread. Plenty of people were giving fair assessments. In fact it was only when numerous Patriot fans came here slinging equally vulgar taunts, that it devolved into more of a pissing match.

Every team fans hate NE because of shit like on Monday. They played arguably the best set of offensive skill players in the NFL and didn't get flagged on a single defensive penalty.

NE led the NFL in scoring drives aided by defensive penalties last season...They had a game winning TD against the Texans that hit the ground and the NFL let it stand after review.

People are sick of this shit...and want to watch evenly officiated games...not the most marketable QB get every conceivable break. The Jaguars AFCC game was an officiating abortion...and the Pats had one penalty.

Your fans entitlement makes it even worse...acting like this hasn't been going on forever.

Brady/Belichick are generally good enough to win a lot of games....when they arent, the NFL steps in and ensures they do. I've seen it over and over again...sometimes to the point of ridiculousness.

It could very well be Russell Wilson. Or even Steve Young. But it can be RGIII or Kaepernick again. Some fans seem to forget that it takes a couple of seasons for QBs to really PROVE they are Tier 1.

From what I read, any suggestion that calling him "NFL's Steph Curry" and "Chiefs = 2015 Warriors" is premature was met with childish animosity and ejaculation-related retort.

Especially Week 12 game that cost us HFA for the playoffs (officiating and muffed punt, tbh).

I don't think referees made any blatant mistakes this weekend. Certainly it wasn't a kind of game that "proves" rigging the game in favor of Patriots. I believe Pats were screwed by referees many times as well, this stuff just happens.

If you watch Mahomes and see RGIII or Kaepernick, then i question what you are watching. Terrible comparison. If you want to watch him and give an opinion that he isn't as good as people think - then by all means prove your point and state your opinion! I was going to point out the game against the Broncos... as I was watching in utter disbelief. It's the only time I've ever seen Brady lose a game dictated by an obvious officiating agenda. That was Manning's last season and the NFL was hell-bent on sending him off with a ring. It wasn't the only game that they swung in Denver's favor that year.

The irony is a Pats fan bringing up that very game...as you definitely remember getting jobbed by the officials, years after the fact. You essentially got the same treatment that you are used to being the beneficiary of. Sucks doesn't it...

I thought it was total bullshit...but at least your team got to experience what it's like to unfairly lose a game because the NFL said so.
