Royals DON'T buy WS tickets at current prices - Page 26

I have a few friends that deal in the secondary market professionally here in KC. (Not scalpers, technically. These guys have offices and pay taxes.) I've been told by, literally, all of them not to buy until at least Monday. All three that I've called about tickets have told me they have them, but that no one is buying at current prices...even on StubHub. They say that by game day they expect prices to drop dramatically. One even saying he expects SRO to fall to around $250 and then for prices to increase incrementally from there. He basically said people are throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks at this point, and that nothing is sticking.

Again, I went to HS with 2 of these guys, so them not trying to stiff me isn't a surprise...even though it's basically what they do for a secondary income.

If you have the scratch to buy now, go ahead I guess. But if you're on a budget, I wouldn't rule out going to a game just yet.

Ugh looking at those prices pisses me off lol.

My price was still worth it IMO. I got to check off "World Series win in Kaufman" on my bucket list.

I've posted many times about my experience seeing a World Series championship won live. It is worth every penny. You never know if you will ever get that chance again. Spend the money.

Yep. I've been to all 3 WS for the Royals ('80, '85 and '14). The experience each time was amazing.

Now I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy a parking pass in advance. Does anybody know what they charge for parking if you show up without a parking pass?

A parking pass on StubHub is $57 for the general lots.

Dude, no. General Parking is $25. That parking BS is a scam on Stub Hub

Still 3600+ tickets available for tonight's game on StubHub. There are some pretty damned good prices for good seats.

I'm on vacation this week, but my kid has a volleyball game in Columbia. How mad would she be if I bailed on her to go to the World Series, especially factoring in that I haven't seen her in a couple of weeks?

(Maybe the better question would be how mad would her mother be?)
