I think in time they will down play it or bring it up less frequent. Id prefed a constant reminder for every generation.

I would support ISIS being his shrink and helping him straighter-out his head a bit. In that way they could finally do something to imprive the planet.

You can disagree with his politics, but his sports takes are on point. Especially this one.

In 10 years -probably less than that- Paterno's cover up will be forgotten and he'll be heralded as one of the best sports figures of all time.

Our country is morally bankrupt.

I totally disagree with his politics, and they are 99.999999% of his entire being and life.

As for being right about this one, he's on the right track for sure, but because he is the devil's seed I have no choice but to discount him saying it. I need to hear it from a reputable person whose life is about more than using his sports stage to rail on most things non-sport.

Based on the person in the White House this is Q. But you're also spot on. But I'm sure others would point out other ways in which we are "morally backrupt" too.

I don't know Ty Cobb is still known as a great baseball player but a complete POS as a person.

I don't care about the politics as much as his smugness. Sorry, just had to throw the side comment in there. Duh, of course Penn State's and Paterno's actions were reprehensible. But leagues should not be in the business of altering W's and L's and records because a person is morally corrupt. Ty Cobb was an asshole. Bobby Bowden was consistently caught up in NCAA violations. If we had to alter the rules for every reprehensible person there wouldn't be that many records left. There are rapists, murderers, absent fathers, etc... who hold W's, L's, and records. There are teams and especially universities that do some morally disgusting things under their watch.

Vacating wins should be all about if what you did created a clear competitive advantage. It may have here, but that connection is really, really unclear. If Paterno squealed and Sandusky was fired, who's to say another coach wouldn't have come in and done just as well if not better?

The NCAA should not be in the business of deciding moral code. That's for the legal system and court of public opinion to decide.

THIS!

If Joe 5 star recruit knows that the coach covered up child rape by his coach, That children were raped in the shower he will be using. That the coach and the atheltic dept. covered it up and let the pediophile continue molesting kids.... GEEEZZZ Does anyone really believe that those top recurits would not have went some where else? They get their pick of top schools. Why would they still go to Penn state?

Just talking about on the field benefits of the cover up, thats how they imporved their win total. Keeping the passion in the fan base and still getting the top recruits was a tangible benefit of the cover up.

You're right. I mean it's not like Penn State has a top 20 recruiting class so far this year or anything.
