You can't get refills with the bottles, though. With the self-serve fountain you can loiter in a restaurant all day. I'm big on loitering.

Added bonus is the touch screen is a one stop shop for infectious diseases. Those screens always look disgusting.

I completely disagree with you. I will purposely go to a restaurant because it has one of these. I love me some orange coke zero.

It's funny, a friend of mine and I had this same discussion just the other day. He hates them. I don't mind them, but I usually make my selection then let it run for a few seconds. Sometimes when you don't it'll taste cherry or orange or whatever garbage the person before me picked.
So from that end, it is kind of wasteful... and you have to wait longer because two people can't use it at the same time. I'd be curious to see how much money Coke is saving by using those. |

I think they are a reaction to the fact that people order water far more often than they used to at fast food places, and are drinking less soda in general. They have to make it more interesting than Coke, Diet, Sprite, Dr. Pepper to get the sale.

The cup itself is usually the most expensive part of the transaction. That said, maybe it's because they're relatively new, but the two places I've been to near me with uni-fountains are pretty darned clean and reliable. But then I just go with either plain Coke Classic, Dr. Pepper or Barqs. Also, each place has 2 separate units so waiting is rarely a problem. let the slow pokes have one machine and the veterans take the other.

I've only used them a few times and I got regular Coke each time as that is all I really drink. I don't recall it tasting abnormal any of the times but I'm not a fan of fountain pop to begin with.
My order of Coke preferences are as follows: 1. Mexican Coke in those old school glass bottles 2. Canned Coke 3. Plastic bottle Coke 4. Fountain Coke |

I drink
-Powerade Zero -Simply Lemonade -Beer -Wine -Water chilled I think I've drank less than a 25 sodas in the last 10 years. I'll drink a ginger ale once in a rare while and I like Pellegrino Italian Soda or Stewarts Root Beer or Creme soda.

I knew those machines were gonna suck balls, the moment I saw them.
I'll tell you why. At a gas station, I frequent near my home, one of their fountain options for years was lipton tea. One day, they upped and changed it to coke zero. That was a year and a half ago. To this day, if you get coke zero from the nozzle that used to dispense the lipton tea, it taste like moldy tea flavored coke zero. I knew those damn machines would have the same problem. **** them straight to hell. |

I'm 99.9% Coke Classic, occasional Dr.P. or a decent root beer. But they had Peach Nehi floats at camp. Awesome.
Never even seen a Faygo in person, maybe they carry them at your Neo-Nazi meetings?
