This seems pretty cool. I really like the features after a quick 2 minute look.
I can't find how to reply or post threads, though.

We have no settings to change, so I have no idea how it'd be working on other sites. The only thing I could change was replacing the image file for those yellow icons.

Well, the problem is, it's easy to get a tag like that working (I just did for the post above), but we'd have to get the entire Planet re-trained to post youtube videos differently for it to make any difference.

So after a couple of weeks using this, I like it, but there are a few minor problems...
Youtubes
GIFs
If I leave a thread I'm reading to answer a call or follow a link or something, it takes a few more steps to get back to where I was.
Can't get to control panel,
In going to the next page of a thread, it often takes me to the bottom post of that page.

However, compared to the ease of use, these problems are fairly minor.

I agree with this. On balance, it seems faster to follow and respond to threads than Safari on my iphone, but there are some annoying shortcomings. Another one that you didn't mention is that you can't see whose posts are being quoted and there's no link to go directly to the post. You also can't give rep.

I haven't tried Tapatalk yet. But looking at the last couple posts on the shortcomings, I can't understand why it would be preferred to the built-in phone browser...

What's the advantage other than being a little faster to follow threads? And how exactly is it faster to follow threads? I have no problem doing so in mobile Safari, and it's as fast for me to navigate as it is on my computer...

I just don't see the pizazz here at all....

This. Safari works great for me (other than I can't rep users with it, but I don't really give a shit because I don't use the rep system that frequently anyway).

I like the organization of posts better.
I like that I don't fat-finger the wrong thread or user-profiles at all any more.
I like the way pictures are handled.
It just organizes things better and is easier to use without having to enlarge or do the dance of portrait vs landscape.

You can use rep in Safari. You just have to hold the rep button down and then open it in a new window.
