I don't know how you could go wrong. I've never done a Sandels but would like too. Cruise for land lovers.
Is that one family friendly? Kids can be a downer for partiers at an all inclusive resort. |

I was there as they changed from Couples Resort to Sandals. Sandals shut it down a few weeks later and updated the entire resort. I highly recommend going there if you can afford it. It's pricier since it went Sandals. Barbados is a formerly British island, so it is relatively safe. I toured the island in an off road truck and also went to the underground river. You can walk to the end of the block from the resort and catch a bus for about $1.00. The bus (actually a van) and it takes you right into the center of town. You can walk and shop then go back to the bus terminal and they will guide to the bus that will take you back to the resort.

I've been there but was not at Sandals. Barbados is all right. I personally wasn't wowed by the island, but I'm sure in an all-inclusive you'd have a great experience and your wife will probably be thrilled. They have good beaches there. One side of the island has much calmer water than the other side, if that matters to you. There are other islands you can visit with more natural beauty, Barbados is pretty flat. It all depends on what you are into.
The first place in the Antilles that I'd like to go back to would be St. Maarten, if it were me. |

I have not but my mother in law lives in Barbados. My wife heads over there once a year.

Not in Barbados - but in St. Lucia - it was solid. My only gripe is fish for breakfast seemed normal to them.
