Worst NFL regular season collapses

I feared we would make this list this season. All of these teams missed the playoffs

1995 Raiders: Start 8-2. Finish 8-8
1987 Chargers: Start 8-1. Finish 8-7 (strike shortened).
2009 Broncos: Start 6-0. Finish 8-8
1994 Eagles: Start 7-2. Finish 7-9 (ouch)
2006 Broncos: Start 7-2. Finish 9-7
1993 Dolphins: Start 9-2. Finish 9-7
2003 Vikings: Start 6-0. Finish 9-7

Which was the worst?

I was at that game. Deep into Vikes territory, Kennison fumbles. But----it should not have counted because either Kennison or the person who caused it was OUT OF BOUNDS. Replay did not work.

Chiefs score there-it is a different game. A lot of scared vikes fans when it was 31-20 and Chiefs making a comeback.

The dump was darker than normal, they did not turn on all lights because the people in the upper deck complained about it being too hot.

That's what makes the collapse so terrible. Minnesota lost to four 4-12 teams. They had the talent to be a good team, but, they choked

Yes, when going by point margin. But I think the Falcons Superbowl loss is the worst due to what was at stake, so I put KC at number 3 all time

2016 Falcons (highest stakes)
1992 Bills (biggest margin)
2013 Chiefs (****)
2002 Giants (24 point lead late)
2012 Falcons (17 point lead in NFCCG)

That's what I'd go by.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I'd have to go with the 2003 Vikings. Start out so good against some good teams only to collapse against shit. I recall the Eagles and Dolphins being teams that started out good against shit and then losing against good teams down the stretch.
