Truck Advice Needed: Do I take the AR-15 and shoot it? Or what is the best fix?
Situation:

2005 F150
182,000 miles
Used as farm truck; and to carry around 2 Great Danes
Starting to rust out
Ford Triton 4.6 engine

Exhaust Manifolds need to be replaced on both sides. This repair was scheduled for first week of April.

Wednesday.....Driving and heard BLAM!! Thought at first it was another spark plug/coil pack failure. Already have had two of those. Truck was shaking from the mis-fire; and loud as hell.

NOPE.

Mechanic called and stated that the smelly farm truck has this:

Why the spark plug blew out of your Ford Triton engine.


He wants $1,300 to fix spark plug retap and both manifolds.
