Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

This whole Geno Smith thing is really stupid.

The guy had a nice little winning streak for a few games last year. Before that he looked like a 2nd or 3rd round pick. After that he looked like a second or third round pick. Since the winning streak there hasn't been anything good about Geno Smith. He showed poor leadership when his team started losing. He has no personality whatsoever. He got drafted where he should have and no NFL team was fooled by his agent's hype. He looked stupid in Mooch's workshop. He didn't go to Sanchez's mini camp in California. He showed up out of shape to training camp. Rex Ryan killed him in the press for a bad practice. When is the time Rex did that to a player? He never did it to Tebow or even Gholston.

I can't believe the stupid excuses. People bitch that people will make excuses for Alex but, talk about race and "rookie" when talking about Geno at the same time?

I have no idea how there is even a poll comparing Alex Smith to Geno Smith.

People who are gaga for Geno should just trade for him on Madden and keep their alternate reality to themselves.
If I were in charge I would end the Geno talk. It's reeruned.

I just needed to vent.
This sums it up perfectly, as far as I'm concerned. These same posters also seem unable to tell the difference between FFL/Madden and the real NFL.

Back in my day, we used to hope for a Superbowl trophy, not that trophy they give to the quarterback that compiled the most yards through the air travel distance pass completion yards metric thingamajiggy. I don't even know what that trophy is called.

There are several other boards for people that don't know their head from their ass when it comes to football. I suggest posting/lurking there. You'll fit right in.

Actually, quite a few people have said, repeatedly, that Alex Smith isn't a QB that can take a team to the SB. Since he almost did that is laughable, but typical CP hyperbole.

He won't take THIS team to ****ing Dairy Queen, much less a SB.

Jake Plummer didn't love football and quit while in the prime of his career.

Don't fool yourself: He was a very talented football player that had no interest in football. If he had, the sky would have been the limit for him.

Other shitty QBs that lost Conference Championship/SB Games:

Shaun King
Kordell Stewart
Rex Grossman
Mark Sanchez
Vinny Testaverde

It means jack that Alex got there and pissed his pants.

Pissed his pants? Really?

****ing revisionist history, but then again, what else is new?

I'm truly at the point where I can't tell if you're trolling or you really don't understand a ****ing goddamned thing about the game of football.

He didn't "piss his pants", nor did he lose the game for them.

Have you ever made a post that wasn't either filled with ridiculous hyperbole or an outright lie?
