Having knee replacement surgery Tuesday.
Finally, time for the left knee to go bye bye and get a new one. Anybody have one of these done yet?

If so, how did yours go ?

Yes, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. My cartilage was gone in my left knee, and it hurt like hell to walk on it. They did the knee replacement. I won't lie: for the first few weeks it's damn uncomfortable, and the physical therapy wasn't a lot of fun. However, six weeks after surgery I was walking pain-free. It was a tremendous improvement and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

The doctor told me I was really pretty young to even think about it. I was 44. He said they would only last 10-15 years. I said "Fine, I hope we have to replace it 4 times!".

That was 14 years ago. The bionic knee still feels great.

My knees both went through a period where the pain was horrendous , If I got down on to my knees and they touched the ground the pain was so bad I felt like actually screaming . Felt like broken glass shards all in my knee caps. Then all the sudden they went numb, I actually have no feeling in them but feel the bones popping and moving around when I walk.
