Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.

At 323 it's apparently considered a lvl 32 weapon. It'll be interesting to see how it handles the hard mode raid.

I did some experimenting with it in the Abyss vs an update Suros and the Suros beats it on body shots (198 vs 175) but the head shot multiplier helped the Vex (523 vs 495). The Suros has the healing perk, which is help during Thrall gang rapes and it holds 90 more rounds in reserve. I often run out of ammo during the Abyss with the Vex.

yeah they reduced the headshot multiplier on auto rifles a patch or so ago. SUROS is still one of the best AR's in the game for the fact that its pretty much a automatic scout rifle. I use it as a semi-auto and just pull the trigger per shot. you can shoot faster that way than by letting it go full auto lol.

It's my go to in The Crucible. Landing consistent headshot in the Abyss is not something I'm going to be able to pull off. I usually just point and the largest mob and fire away.

Arc burn's okay. Sepiks is one of the safer nightfalls to solo. Although it takes longer than it used to since I don't have any 331 sniper rifles. Got through with Patience and Time and Icebreaker last night okay, though.

The run feels so cheesy. Especially with the tracking bullets that the Captains and Vandals have. Once they patch the safe spot where Sepiks spawns it will be hell.

Is that the room up above that you can glitch into or where? I still do it from the room on the left with the stairs leading down below. Takes longer and the grenades get annoying but it doesn't feel quite as cheesy.

I'm more worried about them somehow patching the tunnel opening in the first phase, with the three waves.

The glitch. Some jackhole posted it on Reddit yesterday which will lead to the inevitable Bungie patch. Going to be really hard to solo it when they do.

If they patch the tunnel opening on the right that part will be nearly impossible when arc burn is activated. They only hiding spot will be at the top of the steps in the back of the room but you are still susceptible to grenades (the AI has gotten so much better at aiming them), snipers, the knife vandals running up the steps and the Captians + gregs that that jump up there and maul you when you're crouching.

Nothing more annoying then getting kicked to orbit after 45 mins on a WNF run. Its just..deflating.

If anyone hasn't heard yet sounds like Xur is selling Icebreaker and some potentially interesting helms this weekend.

I haven't personally seen it yet, but it seems to be all over the place as confirmed.

Yup...this ****ing game...Just when I think I'm out...THEY PULL ME BACK IN!!!

I went on a rant in the PS4 thread where I swore this off to only "I'm tired of/finished with everything else" time due to lack of progress because of my availability/play preferences...

And now I'll probably spend the next day and a half trying to grind strange coins.

I'm getting Icebreaker, hopefully getting enough coins for Obsidian Mind and if I'm really lucky (and my girlfriend doesn't murder me) maybe enough for Achlyophage Symbiote as well.

Then I'm on down-time only (and not being able to play any of the DLC I bought or half the dailies/weeklies now because of their progression system) until probably like June when I finally luck out on enough drops to get to level 28.

Honest man, I swear. Just this one more bump. Just a bump...

All right, opinions please...

Since I'm strange coin farming I know I need to do the weeklies on each build...beyond that...I know I'm at the mercy of RNG. Just wondering what opinions were for the best roll on the following:

Public Events: can you possibly pop SCs for any gold tier ranking, or just for the first event of the day?

Depending on the answer there, is my best shot at engram farming and hoping for Cryptard coin blessings hanging out around Venus, or Mars maybe, and knocking out bounties/patrols if possible so it's not a complete snipe hunt or Strike Playlist?

If SCs are possible from any gold daily I'm thinking of farming those and between trying to just farm engrams. What's planet is going to be the best balance of easy to gold and readily available PEs (I realize many of them may be solo attempts)?

I really don't want it to be Strike Playlist...I'm so sick of that.

If I've ever gotten sc's from pe's I don't remember the last time it happened. I get them fairly often from the daily pe mail reward. Otherwise it's from engrams (but not terribly often).

I think your best bet is the initial public events with each of your characters. After that I would suggest the Omnigal Strike. Might as well load up on the glimmer while hoping for engrams to drop too. I found that I got a lot more drops on the Omnigal Strike than I did any of the others.

You could also give the Exclusion Zone a try to farm glimmer and hope for drops but I usually get nothing but greens there.
