No, it's not.

There wasn't a DT or DE with the same value as Sammy Watkins.

Also, Free Agency started yesterday and the draft isn't for another 6 weeks.

There's plenty of time to address the defensive line before training camp opens in late July.

With Pat at quarterback our 4th offensive weapon could be a 1000 yard player

Either way, he is somewhat that the defense must account for, opening up more opportunities for Kelce and Hill. That alone is worth 16 mil. And if the defense focuses too much on Kelce/Hill, then you've got Watkins vs a #3 cornerback, and the athletic Robinson vs a 4.

That's true but it may take even longer if we don't at least take care of a few positions this year. Getting at least 1 other difference maker in FA would have been ideal.

Reid said in his press conference this morning that Fuller and Nelson will play both inside and outside and that both are starters.

I'd imagine one of the guys will drop into the slot on 3rd down, with Amerson on the outside.

That is a really bizarre way to look at it but ok.

Watkins is much more of an impact player than any of the DL that has been available.

I've said it a few times now, I believe Nelson's best game last year was against Oakland when he got a lot more outside CB looks with Peters out.

He was our #2 last year. He just slid inside in subs.

I don’t know whether it’s him or Fuller sliding inside now, but I’m sure they know what they want to do there.

I don't get the bitching, everyone goes on bout BPA for the draft. Free agency should be about the same (depending on fit etc.)

The Seahawks are offering Sheldon 11 mil/per. And Poe just signed a 3 year 27 mil contract. As much as I’d like to address the DLine... the value just isn’t there. Watkins should have a much bigger impact.. and it’s been clear that Veach has had his eye on him for a while

The more I think about it the more I want Tyrann Mathieu............

Hear me out:

1. Versatile DB who can Rush/Cover/Tackle

2. Experience playing in the box

3. Play making ability/Return ability

He would give our defense another play maker on the back end. Him & Berry would be stellar together in short yardage and deep passing lanes.

I agree he has been injury prone, but I believe if you get him and he stay injury free than you have won big.
