tickets are selling somewhat for game 2 today. Upper deck seats seem to sell pretty quick when they dip below $500.

Sorry Hoss, but that was a stupid ****ing question. If we could predict the future, I guess it would be a lot easier to tell you the lottery numbers though instead and you wouldn't have to worry about the cost. |

There will still probably be some bargains tomorrow, but if you want lots of choices and if you absolutely must have tickets the night before or morning of the game, you might not get much better than this. edit: also if you are looking at game 2, it might be risky to wait until Wednesday morning because if we win tomorrow, people might be jacked to go back to the K and see Yordano Ventura.

Looks like all of the relatively reasonably priced upper deck singles are gone for game one... thought about buying couple close to each other, but looks like I'll have to hold out on a decent deal for a pair.

I just gave in. I was willing to stick it out to tomorrow evening, but I saw some nice game 2 hy-vee box seats just now get listed about $80 lower than comparable seats in similar rows, and I jumped on it because it seemed less than 50/50 to me that I'd have a similar deal on the table tomorrow evening. Its the first time I've seen this kind of ticket get close to mid-$500, other than singles. A week ago, these tickets would have been at least 3 or 4 hundred dollars higher.
The number of tickets being sold per hour right now is too high for me to be comfortable waiting another couple days.

My opinion on when to buy: If you just want to get in the door and you are fine with SRO or row YY in the upperdeck, then you should probably wait till the night before or the morning of the game. Maybe hours before if you have access to a printer near KC.
If you are rich and want the really expensive seats (dugout box near home, really good dugout plaza, or diamond club), you should probably wait till the night before the game. If you are in the middle and want outfield or some of those decent upperdeck seats that are currently 600-800 or so, then you should probably monitor those sections closely and be ready to wait till the morning of the game, or jump quickly at any time before then if you see a good deal pop up.

I'm only buying 1 for myself so I should be able to find a deal with just an individual seat. |

Yeah, if I only wanted 1 ticket, I would have waited a lot longer.

It seems like everyone I talk to here in KC, that doesn't have a ticket, is going with the "day of" strategy. I really don't see them coming down a significant amount unless you're going within an hour or so of game time.

I'm a little less confident with day of than before because tickets are moving today, a bit quicker than 1 per minute right now. People who wait till a few hours before the game should still do well if they aren't picky about their seat.

I'm in the last group alnorth mentioned, and don't really care if I go. I'm not spending $1000 for a pair just to get in, but I'm willing to pay a little more for decent seats. ~$700/ticket for those decent seats is really stretching it though, considering some of the dugout box seats start at $100 more.
