I don't think they will and I think they should admit they don't have the horses so then they can deal some vets at the trade deadline for prospects.

Yeah. Why the hell not? We're Royals fans. And Chiefs fans. We get to live cynicism and heartbreak 99% of the time. Gonna let myself enjoy the possibility of playoff baseball in KC for as long as I realistically can.

Since I bet $250 that the Royals would win at least 83 games, I sure hope so.

Well, it's not over until the fat lady sings, but she's definitely warming up the lungs right now. The drought could come to an end by the end of the week!

I'd vote "doubtful". This is Kansas City sports, after all.

I'd give them no worse than a 1 in 15 chance.
Baseball is such a game of streaks, and with 162, a grind, not to mention unfortunate injuries, but I think this year looks promising- the cluster of AL teams around the WC is a bit unsettling, but hopefully it works out and the rest aren't all hovering around a WC spot come the start of August.

I'm not saying "Not a chance".
Clearly there's a chance. Last year they had a chance. As long as they don't have a fallout prior to the ASG like last season, they'll be in an even better position. It also helps that DET isn't playing so well, but you also can't expect them to keep on playing at such level either. They have the talent to win the WS. And whlie the Royals are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now, you can't expect their level of play last this long, unless by some miracle these guys just now finally "get it" and things are starting to click (finally) to where they can consistently perform like legit every day big leaguers that can compete against live big league pitching. The question is too broad....way too much baseball left to be played IMO. I'll answer once we hit the end of July, after coming out of the ASG break.
