Did Tony Stewart Kill Someone Tonight?

I'm seeing it on Twitter. On my phone and can't link. One of his fans says he ran over someone on a yellow and should be arrested for it.

I haven't seen anyone say they thought he ran the guy down on purpose

That’s why I asked. Never driven a sprint car but I have driven plenty of other vehicles with a spooled rear end and they have a tendency to push the front (understeer), which is even worse on a surface with sketchy traction like dirt.
But I’ve read from enough people that have, or claim to have, driven sprint cars that say blipping the throttle wasn’t necessary to avoid Ward that I’ll take their word for it.

I am too lazy to go look but I thought it was implied. I was mainly just stating my position. It is human nature I guess. People develop a mob mentality and grab the pitch forks~

Hum, good point... I did read an article on that Dale Enheart wreck one time. they were interviewing his son whom I guess is a driver also...

His son said that his Dads fans where ****ing stupid nuts. Saying people were driving or flying all across the US to be at the track after the wreck... His son said that he couldn't believe some of the people and the things they were doing... Said his dad was nothing like the fans portrayed him...

I would have to say NASCAR fans are bat shit crazy. Especially how one man would love, defend and protect another man... Those guys get crazy about their male drivers.... Something really ****ing strange about that if you ask me...

This is the view forward of a winged sprint car. Your view to the right is blocked by a full containment seat then the enormous side board which almost completely blocks right side view. I can't tell you TS saw the kid and I can't tell you he didn't. All I can address is the probability he did and that is not real high.

And this differs from what happened when DT died? People holding vigil at Arrowhead...Lining up to view a closed coffin on the field...going to Kemper for a service.
Fans do form a strange bond in all sports.

Logic doesn't say that at all. Logic says that, if he was warned to look for safety workers, he should have been looking for safety workers. That's all it says. It doesn't say he should be looking for idiot drivers walking down the track in black outfits, and it certainly doesn't say that he should definitely have seen said idiot driver walking down the track in a black outfit.
