Thing is, the final 53 man cuts are coming in what, two weeks? Usually there are guys that end up just being cut because the numbers didn't work out for them but they had plenty of talent to be a solid depth guy on a different roster. Hopefully Veach can lock in on one of those type of guys.

I'd go all in on Eric Reid before anything else. Andy took a chance on Tyrek Hill and Marcus Peters and that worked out fine until MP showed his ass and in turn was shown the door. Reid or Earl Thomas gets my vote. These riff-raff CB's are not the answer.

Eric Reid is intelligent, thoughtful, and open with the media. If you haven’t heard him talk about the anthem stuff, then you are really operating in the dark. Also, the kneeling cane about because they talked to military personnel who suggested kneeling as a respectful way to both honor the flag and also call out their issues.

That's fine if you always felt that way. My point was more about that most people here were not calling Peters a bad pick until after Dorsey was fired and Peters moved. Just comes off as a way to throw everything on Dorsey and prop up Veach to make us feel good.

I think his versatility on the field would be a great fit in Sutton’s scheme, but I don’t think the protest history helps him in a market like KC. I doubt Hunt wants the distraction.
I too see an Earl Thomas investment being a good one. I have little faith Eric Berry plays out his contract, let alone plays more than 2-3 more seasons. He is breaking down rapidly.

I don’t know that I’d say Berry is breaking down so much as I’d say it just appears he has a chronic heel issue. This thing first surfaced in 2014. Then late 2016, early 2017, and now.

Hopefully they can just manage it well and he’ll be fine. I truly think he’s the difference in having a top 10 defense and having a bottom 10 defense.

Listening to Terez Paylor’s new podcast and some very interesting info popped up.

Him and Charles Robinson have been traveling the last 2 weeks. They noted that teams are more worried about paying players huge money nowadays unless they are truly a generational player.
Even then they are cautious if they are too old.Think that’s what is going on with Earl Thomas.

I see that with teams like Miami overpaying and continuing to do so. Don’t overpay for middling players like Albert Wilson. Trust your gut and draft to replace those guys.

Cant say I'm all that interested in Scamdrink, the guy has a little bit of a name and will be looking to cash in on it... he is not a guy worth overpaying for, IMO
