Jesus Christ we have no idea how good kpass will be and you all are treating it like a terrible pick.

If he was a quarterback he would be a HOF'er by now

Yeah is there a reason that Kpass is a bust already? Even if guys behind him pan out better, how does that make him a bust? Because he hasn't found a role yet in 7 games? Guys that are tweeners figure out roles over time. It happens all the time.

Because you don't draft ****ing tweeners that are incredibly raw in the 2nd round. Look what happened when we did the same shit with Turk McBride. It was a stupid ****ing pick. Our coaching staff and front office should have analyzed the roster correctly and determined that we needed immediate depth to contribute.

A quarterback is different than other positions. Despite having clear deficiencies on defense this year, none of our defensive rookies are seeing the field. There are numerous rookies taken after Kpass that have made big contributions.

I agree, but all this anger about 1 draft selection is rather misplaced. Why did the Chiefs keep Gaines instead of upgrading the CB position? Numerous reasons for our problems well beyond drafting a project in 2nd of this year's draft. Kpass might well turn out to be a complete bust, still only 1 pick.

KPass isn't seeing the field because he's not good in coverage. We don't rush our pass rushers in KC anymore. |

Tweeners should not picked so early in the draft. The fact that he still doesn't have a clearly defined position shows that he was taken too early. He's no different than a Dexter McCluster as far as I'm concerned. Taking that type of player so early in the draft is trying to be cute and is not an example of solid drafting. |

Sterling Moore would probably be better than Gaines too.

They Dolphins still own him $5MM and they cut him because they are sick of him. He wasn't the best CB last season. He was good for about 4 games. He got benched last year because he was so bad. Then played 4 good games and hurt himself, again. He's known for milking his injuries, just like this year. It's not like the Dolphin secondary is that good that they can throw away good players. They will probably replace him with an undrafted free agent, Torrey McTyer. He also got on the bad side of the coaching staff by freelancing and ignoring what the coaching staff was calling. He was a healthy scratch for the last 2 games. When he signs again, he will be on his 4th team in 4 years, but he needs a change of scenery? This isn't a numbers game where there are just too many good CBs on the Miami roster. The Dolphins want to get rid of him so badly that they are willing to pay him $5MM to just go away.
