Movies and TV Cancelled and Renewed 2014

It's been a big week for TV. NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS and The CW all announced which shows are canceled and which shows will return for another season. The jury's still out on a few series -- ahem, "Parenthood" -- but here's an updated list of what's gotten the ax and what's been renewed on the broadcast networks. We'll update this post as more news comes in, so stay tuned.

UPDATE (May 10 at 3:30 p.m.): NBC canceled "Dracula."

UPDATE (May 10 at 3 p.m.): ABC renewed "Last Man Standing."

UPDATE (May 10 at 2:10 p.m.): CBS renewed "The Mentalist" for a seventh season and canceled "Intelligence," "Hostages," "The Crazy Ones," "Bad Teacher" and "Friends With Better Lives."

Only 2 shows im sad to see go. Believe and Trophy Wife! The asian kid in that show made me laugh and the idiot son! lol

Anyone watch The Goldbergs? that shit is hilarious!

I was surprised how much it grew on me. Gave it a chance because of Garlin and McGlendin-Covey, but the writing is nice, yet sharp.

Had to pause and let the laughs peter out when the boy across the street broke up with the older sister and she was crying and eating brownies from the pan in the bed. When dad tried to offer some consolation/advice and she turned hissing exorcist girl on him.

The one that hit home for me, was the 2 boys trying to watch porn scrambled on tv with the old style cable boxes. lol That shit made me laugh, because everyone i knew my age growing up in the 80's and 90's used to do that shit. haha

That's what happens when you have the highest ratings. And it's not just old people CBS is usually second and sometimes first in the 18-49 demo in the week to week numbers.

Yea, I get the appeal of most of their shows. Its brain candy, fun, not too deep.

Just not for me. Although I hear that the Good Wife is quite excellent.

Trophy Wife was a victim of what made it enjoyable, a large ensemble of bankable [ie, expensive] actors.

It didn't underperform, it just cost a lot more than other sitcoms in its range.
