Chiefs reach out to Louis Riddick for GM spot
@RapSheet: The #Chiefs have reached out to ESPN analyst Louis Riddick to set up an interview for next week for their now-vacant GM job, sources say.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...louis-riddick- Report: Chiefs want to interview Louis Riddick for G.M. opening Posted by Josh Alper on June 25, 2017, 10:53 AM EDT The Chiefs made waves last week with the surprising announcement that they had dismissed General Manager John Dorsey after four years with the team. The team’s co-directors of player personnel*Mike Borgonzi and Brett Veach are expected to be candidates for a promotion, but the team will be looking outside the organization as well. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Chiefs want ESPN analyst Louis Riddick*to interview*for the job. Riddick was a defensive back for several teams in the 1990s and worked in the personnel departments in Washington and Philadelphia before making the move to TV. Riddick interviewed for the 49ers General Manager vacancy earlier this year before they hired John Lynch. Riddick said he was close to getting that job and,*true or not, it looks like he’s getting another chance to make his case for running an NFL personnel department. Veach has learned the GB way directly from Dorsey for 4 years. The entire personnel department knows it as well including Tim Terry who was from GB.
Continuity is key. I don't want that slapdick Riddick to come here and use shit he knew in Philly. I want the guy who learned Ron Wolf principles that's Dorsey used to find excellent talent. |

I'm sure Veach and Riddick are both capable to some extent. |

So this was the guy working with Reid when the Eagles fell from contender to laughing stock?
Neat.... from 11-5 to 4-12. I'd usually prefer my GM candidates oversaw something opposite to that. |

Is there any history of any eagles executive going to another team and kicking ass in a gm role? Heckert was a disaster. Banner consulted the browns into a disaster. Roseman maybe had an unfair situation but a disaster outside of personnel.

Louis Riddick: I haven’t heard from Chiefs about G.M. opening Posted by Josh Alper on June 25, 2017, 11:58 AM EDT Getty Images Sunday morning brought a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Media that the Chiefs have reached out to ESPN analyst Louis Riddick about setting up an interview for the General Manager vacancy they created by dismissing John Dorsey last week. That report has been disputed by someone very close to the situation. That would be Riddick himself, who took to social media on Sunday to say that word of the Chiefs’ interest has not been conveyed to him. Follow Louis Riddick ✔ @LRiddickESPN The Kansas City Chiefs have not contacted me and there is no interview set up for this week. Source? Do you think the Chiefs amazing run of not drafting a first round QB is coincidence? Are you really that stupid? Are you really such an idiotic moronic stupid person? Do you sit and stare at the wall for hours at a time just trying to remember your name because you are so stupid and ignorant and stupid?
