I'm guessing that we trade our first round pick for Blaine Gabbert or Jimmy Garrappolo(sp?) Or someone's backup. Why should we expect anything else. It's the same as it always was. Sigh.

If there is nobody as impactful as Peters, Jones, Hill there at 27 I would not be opposed to trading the 27th overall for a next years 1st and a 3rd this year. Not sure how close that is in equal compensation, but the idea would be to use both of our 1st rounders next year to acquire a QB if there is one that is worthy.

We've been drafting pretty well, no? "Same as it always was" would imply getting a Poe, Fisher, Ford, Peters or Jones type talent in the first. What issue could you possibly have with that?
