Chiefs general manager John Dorsey said Monday that the Chiefs don’t have enough information on the situation to pursue Louisiana State offensive lineman La’el Collins, a top prospect who went undrafted this past weekend after it was revealed he was wanted for questioning, but is not a suspect, in the death of a 29-year old woman. “That’s an ongoing situation,” Dorsey said. “As I sit here in terms of talking, I think he does have some talent to play the game of football but there are too many uncertainties right now. Right now I will just pass until I get some more clarity because I like to get all my facts before I make decisions.” Collins, who is listed ta 6 feet 4 and 305 pounds, was widely regarded as a top-50 talent before concerns emerged last week after the situation was reported first by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. |

Players recruiting him are supposedly fine but he's not allowed to meet with any front office people, on their property, until after finals. |

“Clubs are prohibited from visiting a player who was eligible for the 2015 Draft at his campus or residence if the player has withdrawn from school and final exams have yet to conclude at the school,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told PFT via email. “This includes drafted players, any undrafted players that have signed as free agents, and any undrafted players that have yet to sign.” Collins has withdrawn from LSU, and final exams have not concluded there yet. (Finals are happening this week.) So teams can’t visit a player at his campus or residence. |

Accordign to a writer who covers LSU, the three teams hottest on the trail are the Patriots, Bills and Dolphins.
Don't see why he would come to the Patriots if he is focused on $$$, unless he can play guard. https://twitter.com/DellengerAdv/sta...75321854259200

Patriots have a history of dishing out large sums of guaranteed money to UDFA's. They don't sign very many but the ones they do sign get paid nicely. I believe it.
Bills is a stupid choice though, Rex must have thrown in his wife's feet to sweeten the deal.

There is. Collins is probably going to get a max deal from whoever it is that gets him. From that point, the best way to maximize how much eh gets is through the automatic playing time incentives the NFL has for players who outperform their draft or undrafted position.
