It was kind of funny for me as I was unloading a trailer load of ash 1x6s from the saw mill they had processed from my 3 Ash trees that we had to drop due to the emerald ash borer.

I noticed it starting to get dark and started thinking the rain was a day early, then it dawned on me, it is time for the eclipse. Ho hum, resist the temptation to look up at it.

We were dodging clouds the whole time in SW Arkansas, and unfortunately a big cloud bank moved in about 10 minutes from totality. Thankfully, it opened up just enough for a minute or two to get a view. Not quite as crazy insane as my experience in 2017 (completely clear, blue skies in Nebraska), but still worth the trip.

The craziest thing, by far, was that there was a super bright, red solar flare during totality - it almost looked like Mars was hanging out right at the edge of the sun.
