Tigers get Price. Royals get Jack Shit.
Tigers tighten hold on division with a blockbuster trade.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/tigers-...204522907.html In other baseball news.. Royals get Jack Shit-hope for the best. Decide 2nd or 3rd for the next ten years is not too bad-after all they are still making a profit. So who is jumping off the Royals bandwagon now? |

I can't believe that Friedman got so little for Price. That's an absolutely staggeringly low return. If a team like the Padres made this trade, they would be excoriated.

Nobody was giving out prospects so they got two young guys who have been at the majors (Franklin was last year but is blocked by Cano) and are under control for long time - Smyly until 2018, Franklin until 2020. How this trade deadline went, that is about as young as you could get.

Why are you guys pissed off? Did you think you had better than Lester and
Gomez to give the A's so Glass should have offered them and you still would have a chance at the playoffs this year?

Royals are undefeated and Tigers haven't won a game since the trade deadline. Royals won.

I wonder if Dayton is going to slide by in all this. I'm certainly not against spending a lot more money... but it seems the narrative is Glass has cheaped out again.

I don't understand why we would want to trade for Price. Pitching is about priority number 49585 right now. Batting takes up all 49584 spots on the priority list before it

Royals have $92M payroll? Wow. Not like the old days. Haven't followed very much baseball since the world series was canceled in the 90s. Have to start watching for Royals games on tv.
