Guard play. That's what it comes down to. You can have a beast down low but you can't have a tard like EJ in the backcourt making stupid decisions. Hopefully this 2nd ranked class coming in pans out.

If you're saying EJ sucks, I agree with you. The season is not a failure because of one game, even a tourney game.

I just can't comprehend what was running through EJ's mind tonight. This guy made every stupid decision he could have possibly made.
1. 2 minutes in, gee I think I'll punch someone in the nuts.
2. 3 minutes in, I've only got 1 foul, may as well run full tilt into the lane and draw a charge.
3.10 minutes in, picks up his 3rd foul before the clock even starts running, he's now got three stupid fouls in 3-4 minutes of play.
4. Lazily walks the ball up the floor and turns it over late.
5. Chokes the front end of a 1&1 that would have sealed it.
6. Chokes and throws a terrible pass that takes away any decent chance of tying or winning.

I generally like to see all Kansas teams do well, I'm a Shocker fan and it doesn't really matter to me what KU and KSU do but I like to see the state be successful. I was hoping KU would lose tonight though after watching EJ punch that guy. What a moron.

I suppose if you really look at the team, it was.

Withey was great defensively, but not a good scorer.
Young was all energy, but not great offensively/defensively.
Releford was a glue guy.
McLemore was the scorer.
Johnson was a dumbshit.

KU wasn't a great offensive team. Great defensively, but not offensively as years past. Maybe not rebuilding like 08-09.
