all I'm saying is...
if we play it right, we can turn our #1 pick into 3 early picks. #12, #40ish, and either a 4th or a 2014 3rd or something... at the very ****ing least and that's what we should do if we don't take a QB |

Even if they do that they still need to take a QB in the 2nd, this team needs a young talented QB who'll develop and be ready to play in a year or 2.

It's a pipedream anyway. Rumored compensation for Smith means no QB in the first couple rounds this year. Trading down is their most likely target given the available players at the top of the draft.

But who would you take in the second? That's too high for just about everyone, unless Barkley falls but that's not a given because he hasn't worked out yet.

if we really are rolling with Alex and Alex only
I'm hearing Welker has disdain for New England the way McDaniels tried to shun him aside early in the season last year... if we're going to have a checkdown king at QB we might as well sign captain checkdown routes to a Bowe-esque contract and see what he'd do for Alex Smith I don't generally live in the Madden fantasy world and that is a Madden fantasy trade but I can't think of anyone in the NFL that would help Alex Smith more than Wes Welker. |

Cook, Moore, and either Canty/Jenkins would be quite an early haul to FA.

All the Qb's will go higher than projected at least 4 go in the first. Bray is likely a early 2nd round type, Nassib and Wilson go in there probably too.
You're likely looking at 7 QB's off the board by the end of round 2. |

McCluster isn't keeping anyone from being signed.

I like Dysert but that's way too high for him. Nassib? Nah. |
