So he'd disappointing by default. He's not a 'premier' left-tackle in this league in that truly excellent DEs can beat him with some regularity. But he's not a liability and that's...fine. It's better than what many teams have.

And he's just athletic enough at his size that Andy feels comfortable leaving him on an island, which (just as is the case with Schwartz) opens up the playbook quite a bit.

Would you like to see the only first overall pick in franchise history be a HoF caliber player? Especially when it's at such a thankless position? Of course, but there just wasn't an Orlando Pace guy to be had. So among guys that were legitimate considerations for 1.1 (lets say anyone taken in the top 20 of that weird-ass draft), you've got Fisher, Lane Johnson and...what? Ansah?

It was just an ass draft, but the Chiefs probably got it as right as they could have.
Luke Joeckel!!!!!!111

Man, where's that Jags fan who trolled us constantly about taking Joeckel all offseason, only for us to pass on him and for his sad shitsack franchise to be saddled with that bust?

That '03 line made ****ing Blaylock look like an all-star.

Priest will forever hold a special place in my heart, but he was made by the O-Line.

I can't imagine the ungodly numbers Jamaal Charles in his prime would have put up with those men blocking for him.

People forget how transcendent Jamaal Charles was. I can't think of a bigger waste of supreme talent than JC on those shitty Chiefs teams. We are talking Barry Sanders type waste of a talent here.

I liked the Fisher pick because he at least had a chance to be a really good LT. I'd have been okay with Johnson for the same reasons.

But man I was violently opposed to that ****ing Joekel pick because it was just so resigned. It was such a give up pick. It was just pure floor; taking the guy who seemed least likely to suck at 1.1.

Boy was that wrong...

There was no hold. No minor grip. No curling of fingers in any way. The bought-off ref saw Mahomes winding up for a pass and decided to shut it down.

LOL Noooo idea. That one was pretty egregious and a microcosm of the game today.

The refs were definitely slanted in the Raiders favor today but we can't complain much after last week against NE.

I thought the hold on Osemele was pretty weak too. The call that took the first out of 3 TDs off the board. It was a shitshow from start to finish. I had a bad feeling when I realized Clete Blakeman was the head official today.

I couldn’t understand that call, thought maybe I just missed something. Maybe didn’t know about a certain rule, but it seemed like a bullshit call at the time.
