Run direction break down:
up the middle 60%
sweeps left/right are both 13%
runs over OTs left/right are both 7%

Ware didn't 'help the OL' by busting through arm tackles as much as he simply did his job.

I wonder if we aren't giving Allen the credit as a run-blocker he deserves. Allen is a big dude and he was fairly aggressive as a converted G. Maybe we're just missing some of that size/meanness over at RT even though Schwartz is a better player.
I mean, the difference between Allen and Fulton is night and day.

Then again, Fulton was never supposed to be our starting LG

Read somewhere that the Chiefs right and left tackles were the two tackles in the league with the fewest amount of blocking help. Ie, they're left on an island alot.

The run game issues just seem to be a combination of things. Missed block here, slow to the hole there, wrong angle here etc. I also think they need to look for better blocking tight ends. A jason Dunn type big ****er that can block.

Idk about you, but where I come from, a top 10 pass blocking OL doesn't give up 32 sacks with a QB and passing game that is built around quick/short passes.

The pass pro is average and run blocking is below average.

11th in sacks given up against the rushers they've played? Yeah, ol has been good vs the rush

At least 6 of those sacks were given up bc of the QB. I can think of 2 off the top of my head:

-Alex running into a Cameron Hayward sack.
-Alex not throwing a screen pass in Denver and taking a horrible sack.

Did you forget that the Chiefs faced Mack twice, Vondouchebag twice, Joey Boss and JJ Watt this season? Name one other team that has faced as many top pass rusher and given up only 32 sacks.

FWIW , the Chiefs finished the season with the highest Pass Pro score of all 32 teams in my final report.

Keep in mind the score is also influenced by the Pass Rush strength of the defenses you face. The Chiefs saw some good ones down the stretch and performed admirably.

His sealing off block of Miller on Kelce's TD was a thing of beauty.

I couldn't help but chuckle thinking about Millers comment about fake Gronk as Kelce bolted for the TD.

Not to mention Vic Beasley, who had 15.5 sacks this season.

Yea, i dunno.

It seems like our Oline has always been slow on the uptake. We did have a bunch of injuries early on but lately it's been much better.

Heck certainly hasn't impressed yet.

On the good side, at least we have finally learned to handle stunts halfway decently. It's only taken seasons to get there instead of games.

"#Chiefs are the only team with two offensive tackles to have played 500+ snaps. 10 total tackles have played 500+ snaps and Mitchell Schwartz has the least amount of pressures allowed (28)." - @DTSportsNow

I think sometimes we underappreciate this guy. He gets left on an island against guys like Miller, Bosa, and Mack all game long and is still a damn good tackle.
