Godfather Epic. 7+ hour chronological edited with deleted and extended scenes.
We finally get to see what happened to Michael's guard in Sicily who planted the bomb that blew up his first wife.
A lot more scenes that explain the motives of the events that occured. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.newsweek.com/hbo-airing-g...-mashup-417037 How many times have you seen The Godfather? Five? Ten? Fifteen? Too many to count? What about The Godfather Part II? Probably 50-75 percent as many times as you've seen the original? Something like that? Regardless of what the actual number is, whenever it is on TV, it's hard to change the channel. It's to be expected from arguably the greatest film ever made and inarguably the greatest sequel ever made. HBO, clever as the network is, recognized our collective weakness for Francis Ford Coppola's masterpieces, and has decided to air a seven-plus-hour, chronologically cut mashup of the two films. It is called The Godfather Epic, and not only will it tell the story of the Corleone family as we've never seen it before, it will feature additional footage that wasn't included in the theatrical version of the films. The 424-minute epic debuted on HBO Sunday afternoon, and will continue to air throughout the rest of January. It is also currently available to stream on HBO NOW. Clear your schedule. |

It's chronological order so just quit watching after the end of II from the movies.

It explains the motives of events better in the edit. It slows it down. You can see why Coppola left it out originally. But as someone who has watched it many times through the years its very enlightening.
I is a national artistic treasure. II is the best sequel ever made. Nothing is even close. II is probably the only movie that can possibly equal the original. I liked the way that II jumped back in time and then went forward with different characters. It wasn't confusing at all. I heard about the new included and extended scenes in this movie and decided to check it out. I'd watch the originals on HBO or some other place where the sex and violence is not toned down.

It takes forever getting in; you spend like six and a half hours. You know, I can't get through, I've never even finished the movie. I've never seen the ending.

Wow!! Life is endlessly surprising. Just today I met the first person to dismiss The Godfather.
