Are you a cake man or a pie guy? And what about cheesecake? It's got cake in the name, but it's structured like a pie.

I'm talking desserts, not savory pies like a Shepard's pie (also delicious, but that's another topic), or the bizarre mashed potato/cornbread cake.

The best fruit pie? Dutch apple with a crumble crust. I'm also partial to the traditional carrot cake, with cream cheese frosting.

But seriously, coconut and banana cream pies are the greatest. Corner Café in Riverside makes some good ones.

No to cake yes to pie. Fruit pie is my favorite but not huge on cream pies except a good peanut butter. I like pecan but its so rich it doesnt like me. Custard is my least favorite pie and happened to be my brothers favorite. Growing up Mom made us pies for our birthday because we didnt like cake. My brothers BD was always disappointing pie wise.

I'm the same way on cream pies except for the peanut butter. Oh wait, I do like Key Lime pie too. So there's that, but generally not a big fan of the cream pies and I love cream too.

And the last couple times I've had SNS, they burger was practically drenched in grease. Maybe it's the cook. I generally love their burgers.

Aside from Gooseberry, I’ve also come across Chess pie which is lovely. Carrot cake is my favorite in the cake arena.

Pecan Pie should be called Goo Pie with Crunchy Pecan Topping. Like those Crumble Topping pies.

Carrot and German Chocolate are about the only cakes I don't like. Chocolate is my favorite

As for pies, chocolate only but I rarely eat pies. Used to like Egg Custard as a kid but haven't had that since then. How anyone can stand Pumpkin Pie is beyond me.

I never have ice cream with or on my cake.

I'm not much for cheesecake. I like it fine, just don't eat it when there is cake or pie available as well.

My dear departed grandma made the best chocolate pie evah. And she also made lemon cake, which I still make, and is the best thing on the planet with a glass of milk.

Store bought cake and pie: Favorite cake is carrot cake from The Bristol, best pie is Tippin's Dixie Pie.

Hair Pie is better with a glass of water than milk, btw....
