DPI with 8 seconds left? Ignored OPI with 4 seconds left?

This, my friends...is how you truly control the outcome of a game.

Choo CHoo...welcome to the LA Express. 5 weeks in a row (and counting) the refs have gifted the Chargers.

Funny, I went to few other teams TNF game threads. EVERY ONE of them were talking how rigged this was...

I prepared myself after the Rams game...so not really shocked. NFL doesn't care if you think it's rigged or not..

Two nationally televised Chargers games in 3 weeks...and both have had controversial officiating that led directly to Chargers points.

10 LAC points came directly after phantom penalties on 3rd and long....in the red zone.

People want to shit on KC's defense but they stopped them both times...and the refs invented a reason to sustain their drives.

You cant stop a team in the RZ and have the officials keep gifting them additional opportunities.

I dont watch football media... but I'm guessing the end of the game and officiating was never taken to task or even mentioned. Just glossed over with a sea of LAC hype while ignoring the real reason why they won.

I can't recall the last time officiating was questioned in any meaningful way. Professional sports officials are the most protected, untouchable, group of people on the planet. If there is any review done of them (if......), it's done in such secrecy that the NSA and CIA should ask for their technique. Hell we're not even privvy to how they perform peer review. IF they perform peer review! When was the last time an NFL official was fired or given time off because they ****ed things up? You know, something more game-affecting than a Sharpie in the goalpost padding. When was the last time an official was fined for a bad call?

Sour grapes? Hell yeah! I'm still not over the calls when we lost to Pittsburgh.

I haven't given up on the NFL but I have on the NBA. No the NBA doesn't guarantee the Lakers being great every year. But it is much harder to get star treatment at a small market team. And you can't win it all in the NBA without star treatment.

Look at a list of the last 20 or 30 winners. Sure Cleveland. Detroit is there somewhere.

But almost everybody else is either a mega market like LA or at least a big market like San Antonio.

And LeBron had to go to Miami to get his first title.

Durant had to leave OKC.

I moved to Northern California a little after the Kings did so followed rooted for them for a while.

But after seeing how they got reffed against the Kobe Lakers in a game 7, I swore off small market NBA teams.

As far as the Homer comment.
When I end up watching two teams where I don't particularly care about the outcome, I often think a lot about the reffing. It frequently isn't symmetric.

But Peyton didn't have to leave Indy to get a title.

Mahomes doesn't guarantee KC a title but if he stays healthy our odds are very favorable.

They fired an official because of a missed call this season....for the Chargers. My tin foil antennas say this was deliberate...and premeditated. How can you criticize the NFL when they fire a ref for the team they are going to help down the stretch? Bait and switch...have any other officials been fired? Nope.

Ravens have no idea how bad they are about to get screwed...they dont follow the AFCW so are in the dark about the LA express agenda. I'm sure they enjoyed watching the Steelers get hosed on a National broadcast (as did everyone in the world)...but haven't quite put the pieces together on how this is going to effect them too. LAC cant lose another game and get the #1 seed...KC gets the Raiders at home in the final week and I hope the NFL isn't brazen enough to take 3 TDs off the board in that one.

The NBA has already been busted for the officials fixing games...it's strange to me that some people, here, forget that fact.

How they wired their brains, against overwhelming visual evidence, that it couldn't possibly be happening in the NFL is straight-up denial....especially when they've had Vegas betting odds for decades. How they rationalize this into a honest..and "no way could be corrupt" situation is bizarre. It's a multi-BILLION dollar racket...

It's starting to work too. The last week or two online I've seen a shitload of "Chargers fans" coming out of the woodwork everywhere.

Depends...are these NEW LA Charger fans? I mean the type to buy seat licenses and support them locally? Doubt it...

Rams will own that market...they've already sold out the Coliseum. Chargers cant fill a 30k soccer stadium. They have a home grown, Californian QB...who was the #1 pick.

Rivers was an afterthought until this year...his team hadn't even been a wildcard in 5 years. Now...out of nowhere, he's a HOF QB and MVP candidate. Truth is...without the officials helping them...they are an 8-8/9-7 borderline play-off team. Just like every other year of his career...they should have lost both the Steelers/Chiefs games. It took overcoming back-to back 1-174 and 1-250 odds for them to pull it off...in 3 weeks!

It's SUCH a transparent sham...they only beat one team with a winning record last year. It was a TNF game against the 9-7 Cowboys...who had to travel on a short week.

IMO...the only way the NFL can reasonably try to pull this off is a LAC SB. If the Rams go...they can forget about anyone ever caring about the Chargers. Like I said earlier...have Brees beat the Rams....then have Rivers avenge that loss in the SB. That's really the only play here...

They tried to do this same thing with the Raiders in 2016...crappy team that out of nowhere (with a new stadium in play) suddenly become good. Karma and divine intervention took that sham out with a broken leg on Christmas. It was the only sack given up by their LT all season...very apropos...and wouldn't be surprised is something similar happens to the Chargers. Not wishing it...just saying...you reap what you sow.

How has the NBA been busted? Are you talking about the Tim Donaghy stuff? So by “busted” you mean a convicted felon making unsubstantiated allegations about his former employer?

Your burden of proof might just be lower than mine.

It would've been 4th down if no DPI call. Still have to stop them again. Or if refs don't miss helmet to helmet, have to stop them 4 times from the 4 yard line instead of just 2 plays with missed call.

But you said NFL network talking heads get their propaganda from NFL in NY. All the hype for LAC and OAK was how you knew this was coming. What gives?

You like posting other fans' comments as "evidence." Why no comments about their thoughts on the refs? Cause they thought for the most part it was slanted towards the Chiefs even though the best outcome for them would be a LAC loss and then clinch a spot today with other losses so LAC has little to play for?

The Dallas game was on Thanksgiving, dummy. A home game for Dallas.
That's how you get a good record in the NFL: beat the bad teams, there is a lot of them. 2015 Raiders were 7-9, their best record in forever. High picks and a great year by Carr the next year. Chargers won 9 of 12 to finish last year. Some times teams can carry it over. What's your next hot take? Cleveland getting it rigged up next year?
Why did the NFL abandon OAK last year? They prop them up before relocating, then announce, forget about them, then you say they will prop them up again. When are they going to do that? Next year? If they are in LV next year? The new stadium in 2 years? Can't wait for your playoff picks thread this year, you sure nailed them last year...

Why did the NFL allow the high flying Rams to only score an embarrassing 6 points against the Bears in a Sunday night loss last weekend? I mean, the fix is in for the LA teams, right?

The calls did favor the Bears more in that game, not that it mattered. But Blackop explained a few posts above: NFL cant have the Rams get to or win the Super Bowl now, because if they did, LAC could never get a foothold in LA. Carolina is going to get screwed on Monday.

It's a conspiracy, we will never know until a ref gets a book deal and talks to Oprah.

Being a Dolt homer...I would like to think you're observant enough to notice the "Fight for LA" banners that are repeated around the rim of the playing field.

Like People in LA give a shit enough to make a Northside vs. South Side rivalry like Chicago.

LA will never care about the Chargers...they were never supposed to be there. Spanos dropped a steaming pile of shit on the NFL...and I commend the citizens of San Diego for telling him to **** off.

I dont really have any hatred towards the Chargers players/fans...by beef is with NFL corporate/owners trying to manufacture their success at the expense of other teams. It's strictly a greed move from a corporation that already makes 8 billion a year.

You cant dump a meddling team into a city that historically doesn't care about football...and expect them to suddenly care. It's a been a horrible idea from the start...

I think your miracle season is summed up by one of your own fans in the Seahawks game thread...and this was BEFORE the controversial calls vs. the Steelers/Chiefs.

"Guys, this year feels so different. We are getting calls, breaks and help from the refs???"

And I haven't noticed "fight for LA" banners. I know that was their stupid slogan last year. This year I have seen "fight for each other" as their slogan. 6 years of Norv crushed my Charger fandom and a few years of McCoy killed it. I moved to Maine 4 years ago and root for the Pats now. Rivers is such a good guy that I still root for him and would like to see him get a shot at a SB.
