Just got Comcast broadband and...

While it is very fast compared to my old DSL, I have noticed some odd behavior. For example, I just ran a speed test at www.speedtest.net. It took a good 10 seconds for the map to show up. I clicked the "Begin Test" button and it took another ten or so seconds before the test actually began. Speed is 24 MB down and 6 up. This happens randomly on every website I go to and happens on every machine in my network.

Any ideas, please? Thanks.

Its only like 55 bucks a month, plus they threw in comcast tv cable for free with HBO for a year.

Its not a bad deal. I have direct tv for sunday ticket, but idont have HBO on there. When Game of Thrones comes around, im set now.

No fiber. I'm lucky we have cable. Before that, it was "128" DSL that was often closer to 56.

That's what I pay for my internet connection: $55 a month.
