Need Financial Guru Magic Advice

Looking to rollover my previous employers 401K to my own Roth 401K/IRA. I would like to manage my own portfolio at minimal annual cost. Also, need access to borrow off the account for emergencies.

Any suggestions?

Get Ameritrade or Schwab or Vanguard. They all have instuctions for rollover.

You won't be able to take it out, but you may be able to use it as collateral for a loan, that is a question for your lender.

dude, buy silver or copper, don't put anything into 401K's. I have a feeling that with the coming depression and mass inflation, people aren't going to get anything from their 401Ks. Or, with it being tax deferred, taxes could very well be significantly higher than now in 30 years.

IMO, that's the absolute worst way to prepare for retirement. Stock up on precious metals if you ask me, as the dollar goes down, the value of metals will only go up.

Does your current employer not offer a 401K? A Roth IRA and a 401K are two different things.

Seriously? I feel bad for your wife. Roth's are funded with after tax dollars and earnings are tax free.

I won't feel bad for you when you don't get a dime when you are ready to retire

I'm actually an independent contractor currently.

Roth IRA and Roth 401K are not very different.

Doom or no doom, precious metals are always a good investment with absolutely no risk. I was trying to give you good advice. I wouldn't ever put a dime into 401K, if it hasn't already happened, our government will take over 401K's and IRA's and your retirement plan will be thrown out the window.

Precious metals are a good security to hold.

You're a ****ing moron. Precious metals have just as much risk as any other investment.
