Grade my team

I think we have had a thread for this in the past.. so feel free to post your own team below.

I just drafted last night in my 14-team, 1/2 ppr league. Return yards count for the individual and the flex position also can be a QB. Our league used to have six points for passing td's, but returned it to four points a couple years ago. Despite that, QBs go off the board way to soon. In fact, eleven were taken in the first round and five in the second round.

My strategy was to wait on QB and load up on other positions, as I picked seventh.

Team is below. The number in parenthesis is my ranking of these players within their positional groups (didn't combine them into one board), just for general interest.

1 - Jamaal Charles - KC RB (1)
2 - Antonio Brown - Pit WR (1)
3 - Teddy Bridgewater - Min QB (18)
4 - C.J. Spiller - NO RB (8) - due to return yards
5 - Latavius Murray - Oak RB (14)
6 - DaVante Adams - GB WR (10)
7 - Blake Bortles - Jax QB (23)
8 - Darren Sproles - Phi RB (25) - I think he will get return yards in the regular season
9 - Percy Harvin - Buf WR (17) - due to return yards
10 - Denard Robinson - Jax RB (40)
11 - Leonard Hankerson - Atl WR (42)
12 - Brian Quick - StL WR (44)
13 - Charles Clay - Buf TE (10)
14 - Chiefs D (14)
15 - Brandon McManus - Den K (2)

I think I regret the Percy Harvin pick already. Beckham was taken two picks before I took Bridgewater, and I think I paniced on QB a bit, although I do like Teddy.

If I had know Bortles would drop into the 7th, I think I would have taken another top-tier WR, but most were scooped up, and I wasn't feeling Demaryius Thomas.

RBs-Peterson, Demarco Murray, Latavius Murray, Foster, Doug Martin, Knile Davis
WR-A.J., Keenan Allen, Golden Tate, Fitzgerald, Crabtree,
TE-Delanie Walker
Defense-KC
K-Haushka

RBs seem to dominate in this scoring so I tried to grab as many STARTERS as possible with the possibility of running out 3 studs every week. I waited on QB and landed Brady in the 10th. TEs kept going before I could grab one, and too early by my projections. So I waited and took Walker with last pick before Def, and K. NFL.com gave me an A. I was pretty happy with my draft. Most teams other than me barely have 2 starting RBs so I plan on trading to strengthen my weak spots once injuries occur or underproduction occurs. Barring injuries I could be running out AP, Demarco, and Foster and I like my chances with that.
Nice depth at RB indeed! And Brady is a nice pickup at QB. Walker may not be a sexy TE pick, but he is an excellent pick.. especially that late in your draft.

Slightly weak at WR, but more than made up for by RBs.

Another KC defense drafted!

Yeah, I like the KC matchup against Houston.I plan on streaming Def. I wasn't too thrilled overall with my WR but I think my strength at RB and landing Brady in the 10th makes up for it. If all my RBs pan out, which is a big if, I think I can trade Martin or L. Murray for a WR. Also looking to move Davis to the J. Charles owner, but right now he doesn't think he needs him. He only has 2 starters and isn't sweating Jamaal getting hurt. There are only a few handcuffs worth drafting, and besides Ryan Mathews, he is the only backup with RB1 potential if Charles goes down. And if Jamaal goes down (the Chiefs fan in me prays he doesn't) I've got another stud RB who I can trade. So, all in all I feel pretty good.

The other owner probably doesn't know this, but I don't think the Davis handcuff is necessarily true anymore. West provides alot of the same types of plays that Charles could, and that Davis couldn't. I think we see a timeshare if Charles misses any significant time.

12 team league, PPR scoring, 6 pts for passing TDs. Drafted in #12 spot. 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3WRs, 1Flex, 1TE,Def,K . My team:

QBs - Bradford, Cutler
RBs - C.J Anderson, Ellington, Blue, Foster, Bell, Hillman, Sproles
WRs - Julio Jones, Robinson, Agholor, T. Williams
TEs- Kelce, Daniels
K - McManus
Def - Chiefs

I'm really worried about my WRs and I'm not sold on Bradford but I was the last one to take a QB so he was the last QB left with the most upside.

I would like to try to move Foster for a decent WR2.

Thoughts?

If there aren't many people out there with backup QBs, you might consider dropping Cutler and picking up Sanchez. I really worry about Bradford's health, and we know Sanchez can produce fantasy points.

Yeah, for PPR I think you should have focused on WR more, ideally. I would hate to trade away Foster though.. would rather try to trade Ellington or do a package deal with a a RB and Agholor or a RB and Williams (hopefully to a Dallas or Eagles fan) to get a better WR.

I guess I am the only one that started to worry about McManus? I know he is attached to a high octane offense, but he was not good last year. I dropped him and picked up the Houston kicker, who was #8 in scoring last year, which I think means something.

You put that team together like a BOSS!

Some might say you have a couple WR2 and no WR1, but I bet one of those two ends up in the top 10 this year.

And you are loaded at RB. I like the upside of the players you got at the end of the draft.. not in a gay way. NTTIAWWT.

Thanks.

I don't usually go RB-RB, but AP fell to the 5th spot and I usually do pretty well picking up waiver WRs. Case in point, Kendall Wright was available, and I think he'll have a bounce back year.

Andre Johnson with Luck, Sam Bradford in Chip's offense, Carlos Hyde as a feature back, Arian Foster coming back from injury in about a month, Keenan Allen looking to prove himself coming off a down year, Mike Wallace with a QB that has a nice deep ball, and Steve Smith in his final season.
