The media want to give us shit for paying Sammy Watkins $16 million a season? The Jaguars just paid a guy almost $10 million fully guaranteed for a guy who's best season was 733 yards and 6 TDs.

On with @Midday180, @Schultz_Report say indications from @NdamukongSuh are he will choose between #Saints, #Titans, #Rams and #Seahawks. All about chance to win, not money which is why he didn't talk money in New Orleans or Nashville.

If that’s the case then you go to New Orleans. Maybe LA but I’m still skeptical on how their passing game is going to look or who is going to rush the passer off the edge.

Chance to win? Go to the ****ing Rams. You don't have to worry about a pass rush off the edge when you have Donald and Suh in the middle.

I think I’d go to New Orleans. Better team, better overall defense.

Saints have more talent. After watching those Watkins vids, Goff is a ****ing joke of a QB propped up by a great system.

You definitely need edge rushers, especially ones better than what they currently have.

If Suh goes there, the hype will be crazy but Wade’s defense three years ago in Denver is still better than what they are making in LA.

Jensen's been a center his entire life so I'd expect that Veach and Reid wanted him at center.

It appears that they aren't happy with Morse as a long term solution and since they let Fulton walk, he wasn't the guy, either.

I doubt it.

Morse hasn't spent a second at LG, even when they were going through crappy left guards like Ben Grubbs, Jeff Allen, Donald Stephenson, Bryan Witzmann and Zach Fulton.

Many of us on CP (myself included) couldn't figure out why Reid wouldn't put Morse at LG and Fulton at center. It was mind boggling.

Well, there may be a reason and that reason is that they don't like him at LG.

Maybe. Wonder if Morse injury history is just giving them pause? I can't imagine paying Jensen that would have been ideal, but that seems to show they aren't sold on Morse.

Or Fulton.

And yeah, they obviously don't want Morse at Guard. I'd rather keep him at center but who knows.

It's hard to imagine that the Chiefs were really going to bring in a new starting center via free agency when, one, they already have one and, two, they hardly have money to burn at that particular position. So what else explains this?

If we're looking for a plausible explanation, it might help to note that Ryan Jensen played both left and right guard (even starting a few games) for the Baltimore Ravens in years past. Were the Chiefs interested at the right price in bringing him in and switching him back? That certainly makes a lot more sense.

That’s my thinking.

Just look at our combine meetings. All guards, no centers IIRC.

I’m glad Veach is taking the OL seriously, at least on the surface. We will definitely be adding a guard by May.
