I was just pointing it out because it seemed like you were implying that it was something new for him.

Also, it’s hard to judge when you have Frank Zombo starting. Nelson wasn’t even playing when Ford was healthy and the pass rush wasn’t nonexistent. All things considered I think he did alright. He graded out average under those conditions, which wasn’t nearly as bad as some of you make it out to be.

I watched the D-Line let Henry run all over them

I'm tired of this soft ass defensive line. It's been a problem for this team for years now.

Not when you look at the current state of the team. They've amassed a lot of talent on offense while the talent on defense aged. They're going to depend on that talent while that aging defense continues its youth movement.

For the next 2 seasons or so offense will have to carry this team. They're strengthening their strength to ensure that they can in fact lean on that offense.

I really think the pants shitting regarding the secondary is over the top. If they can generate any type of competent pass rush the secondary will be fine.

Anything over Zombo is pure profit, as is Berry over Sorenson. Still the secondary was so bad this year. The secondary was horrible and lost Peters. Pass rush should get better plus Berry and Fuller. Is that enough to get us, not just better, but to a level that is acceptable? I don't know.

I think we have to use our top draft picks on CB. I know Andy could just be giving coach speak but being ok with those 3 alone is dangerous imo.

At least their will be decelopment happening relying on snaps for young players. It could happen even if they signed Poe. So ya, you’re wrong again

Pshhhh....i'd be shocked if he made it out of the 1st.

Ok, but MFer has a point. You’ve made it clear a few times that you don’t think a rookie DL can do anything this year. Why?

We’re not asking for a Pro Bowler here, or at least you shouldn’t expect that. We need serviceable players right now until better alternatives are available.

Yay! Young players getting their shit pushed in again like the last 2 seasons.

I’m sick of watching this shit be our downfall every damn season.

We’re likely going to use our 3 day 2 picks on defense, at least 2, and we will likely sign another FA (though I think it may be Logan). The defense is nowhere near finished.

We need to just sit back and watch Veach’s plan unfold.

I agree. But it's not just about whether a wild card team can beat us. There are bigger fish and an elite offense is not enough. You can't just out gun everyone. We've watched that movie before.
