So, I didn't see a thread started, and all the others are pretty maxed out to the point where a fresh thread would be needed soon either way.

Time to share the run up to ST & and another memorable year in the making!

The kid sucks at baseball. He may have been good at one point in his life, but he has no right being on an MLB team at this point. Maybe someday, but not now. And yeah, I know he's only 23, but show us something Bubba. Like, anything.

And Yordano will win team MVP if he stays healthy. The idea of locking him up for the next half-decade at a reasonable price is giving me morning wood. Can't wait to see him on opening day.

If there was one pick that DM crashed and burned on, it's that one.

Yeah, but that's a pick I think we would have all made. He had all the tools coming out of HS. It sucks that he hasn't developed beyond A Ball, but that is just the way it works out sometimes. There are very few sure things in the MLB draft.

Can anyone do a search for the Royals thread for your prediction on how many games they will win this year?

Thanks in advance.

I think there was also a bit of PR in that pick, too. And it's not like he wasn't being projected as a high pick. If you take him & he pans out, you've got a home-grown superstar in every sense of the word. If you pass & he pans out, OMG HOW COULD YOU PASS ON THE HOME GROWN KID?!?!?!

Obviously it doesn't excuse whiffing on him, but before last October, Bubba was one of the few mistakes DM made that I was fine with. I'm too lazy to look it up, has anyone from that draft really panned out yet?

Thank you, exactly what I was wondering.

The Mariners really messed up the entire draft by taking Danny Hultzen in that draft.

This forced the DBacks into the position of taking a player (Trevor Bauer) who was a bad fit for them philosophically because they wanted a college pitching product.

If the Mariners had taken Anthony Rendon as expected, Hultzen goes to the DBacks at 3, Bauer to the Orioles at 4, and I think the Royals would have taken Dylan Bundy at that point.

Looks like it's in the bag now. 5 more years of Ace for $23 million?....I can handle that.

BREAKING: The #Royals and Yordano Ventura have agreed to a five-year, $23 million contract extension, sources tell @JonHeymanCBS. #MLB

Agree with all this but is Bundy all that great after TJ? Is he still the premier prospect he once was? I'll have to see it before I believe it.
