$5,000 to spend.

Since $500 apparently is not enough money to even consider spending. What would you do with $5,000 to spend any way you want to.

How I would spend it frivolously:

New tires for my 81 Riviera (gpa's old car) $600.00
New landau roof for the 81 Riviera $450.00
Bumper Fillers for 81 Riviera $500
Paint and install on filler $250.00
Brakes front and back on my truck $200.00 (just parts, labor is free)
Weather tech mats for my van and truck $500
Weatherguard tool box for my truck $750.00
Carhartt seat covers for my truck $200
Tile backsplash for our kitchen $450
Illuminated light switches (I have a bunch out) $100
I would take the last $1,000 and go on a weekend trip of some sort.

I can think of so many reasonable and responsible uses of an extra(I'm assuming it's coming from somewhere else) that it's hard to get a list of just for fun things like trips.

I could make a farm payment, fix the PTO in my tractor, buy the 3 point 6' rotary tiller I'm going to get in the spring, start finishing the inside of my shop and add some additional wiring....or spring for that .338 Lapua....or a that M1919.

Bills.

Unless we actually have to spend it on something.....then it would probably be a trip to Disney for the kids and a trip to Arrowhead for me.

Yeah, my gut reaction is that it goes into retirement savings, but I have to use it or lose it, I'd hop a freighter to Europe. I've always wanted to do that.

I'd love to own a 40's Willy. Tried to buy a junk 47' a few months ago that needed a complete rebuild but owner wouldn't sell. Its continuing to rot in an abandoned outdoor parking lot.

If I had to spend it on something other than bills, I'd spend it on several WWII weapons or a large portion of a WWII battlefield trip.

His two jeeps are the best things he has ever bought. It's kind of like having a gator or mule but they are fully legal to run on the road. My Dad is getting older so instead of rafting down the Colorado, we now pack up the jeeps and just go camping some remote place. Been really awesome.

The first thing I thought of was pay off some bills. Next thing I thought of was trip to Disneyworld for the family.

My buddy did this in Australia. They shot the feral by the dozens, and waited for the feral hogs to come, then mowed them down. Repeat. Don't think 5k even covered his ammo...

Go to Spain.

Or maybe bite the bullet and do Disney. But I'd hate myself.
